I love the look of aged galvanized containers, and the olive buckets from PB are TDF, IMHO!!

Thanks to the wonderful Debbie at Confessions of a Plate Addict, I was able to find something much cheaper:

PB bucket is 20"x18", BH&G is 15.25"x11.5" I'm sacrificing a little in size for a lot of $$$!!

I'm planning on "aging" the buckets (I ordered 2) by using toilet bowl cleaner. Muratic acid is an option but a little scary for me.

Will place two boxwood plants in them for the deck this summer.

Fluffie, you beat me to it! The one from Decor Steals is a real, vintage olive basket. I have one and it is beautiful. I use it to store rolled up knitted throws to keep warm on winter nights.

I love this look whitelinen. Do you know if these are only online or in the stores too? I probably won't be able to get to walmart until the weekend to check for myself. Smart move, whitelinen-the same look for less.

They are not in stock at my local W M, rose. I think you order them for pick up there, instead of having them delivered. My llife is so busy it was easier for delivery. But you can save on shipping if you pick up there.

Rose, don't you luv her blog??? I would love to copy her Easter table settings, with the wicker chargers & TQ bowls & white embossed plates. So very, very nice!!

I saw some TQ bowls at Marshall's last week that would work with the tablescape. So tempting . . . tablescaping just doesn't fit my lifestyle tho.

Thank you, whitelinen. My store doesn't have them either. I love the idea with boxwood. I would have to plant them before winter comes though-they would never survive the cold here in those containers. I do love her blog and didn't know about it until you told all of us. I now receive her emails. Your TQ bowls sound beautiful. Do you think these people who do tablescaping leave the plates and dishes up indefinitely? I do tablescaping to a degree-I do the middle of my table, but never leave the plates, dishes, stemware and everything up. The only time those items are present is when we actually are going to do a dinner.

I just ordered two of the olive buckets for use outside. I was tempted today to order another real one from Decor Steals, but it still would be around $57 when all said and done. Thanks for sharing. I would like to use something on them to age the surface as well!

I love the aged galvanized look of these buckets. I have some antique watering cans that are made from that metal. Would love to age some of the buckets. Let us know how your technique with the tb cleaner works out, please. I dried some hydrangea blooms last fall that I have in a vase, but I think they would look better in one of these tall buckets. TFS
