My birdcage

I think I finally have my birdcage the way I want it. I have changed it about a hundred times! The VPH mercury glass eggs are really nice and I'm glad I ordered them. I almost wish I had ordered two sets but hopefully she will bring them back. I did pull the hanging loop and ribbon out of them. That part can be saved and put back in if needed.

That looks so pretty, mallemo. I really like how you mixed bits of burlap in with the shiny mercury glass. I think I like your style of birdcage better than any other I've seen.

Thank you! I have been using burlap lately for home decor and I really like how versatile it is. I bought a yard at HL quite some time ago and I think I'll buy another yard. It seems to work with just about anything.

Thank you! It's not really pink but you can make it look pinkish by what you put with it. The description was brown/gray but that ""brown"" is more mauve I think.

I don't know where you got it (I may have missed the post), but I just bought a smaller one for my bathroom at Michaels last week - they have some really cute bird cages there of all sizes.

Mine came from Hobby Lobby. I need to get to Michael's soon to see what they have.

Lovely job, mallemo! I love the shine of the eggs and the sphere. It will be so beautiful when the sphere starts sparkling.

Thanks everyone! I'm happy with how the eggs look with the sphere in the birdcage. I know there are many uses for them, but for now, I'll leave them there.

I remember a few years ago everyone was always talking about HL on this board and we did not have that store around us (my closest one is an hour away even now). At that time, my husband and I went to a bigger town for our anniversary and I spotted a HL!! I told him "oh, lets stop in here quick"! well, needless to say that trip in there was not a quick one.... and he was not the person to take into HL so he ended up in the car after about 20 minutes! Plus it was in October and you know what kind of stuff they have in there at that time of year.... Christmas!! I could have spent all day in there!

Oh that's funny. My husband would not have even gone in to begin with. They just don't understand!

oh i know... i usually go on trips with my mom, but you know it was an anniversary trip!

Well then it was only fair right?! Actually our Fleet Farm and Menards have some pretty fun stuff to look at. Scheels does also but it's spendy in there.
