Would make a wonderful guest room, love the teal and pink theme...I would switch out the lighting to a white floral chandelier, have all books in the book cases rather than a compilation, change out the rug maybe an aubusson that incorporates the teal/pink, and consider an alternative to the bare window, maybe white shutters. The artwork would be framed with nature/impressionistic type prints. Ugh, Lola....I just can't help myself.

@lolakimono I am not a fan of this room. For reading, I need something with neck support and I need my feet up. I prefer a really comfortable chair with an ottoman or a chaise.

I love to read but this nook isn't at all appealing to me. It is just OK, not something I would want in my home.

Overall, the concept and color scheme doesn't work for me.

What looks like a daybed with pillows against the wall doesn't work well for readers who I think need good back support. If leaning against the bookshelves, again need back support. These pillows are too small and soft even if piled up together.

Too much glare coming from the window and overhead lighting is not good for reading. There should be lighting nearby but no room for it.

I tried something similar in my 20's. Much too uncomfortable.

For reading, this design gets an F.

Truly nothing special on any level. A reasonable idea for limited space but the decor itself, aside from one of the pillows, doesn't excite... The signage as art makes it a complete non-starter for me... As for using the space to read, it might work for short bouts, but for the long term, it dosn't seem like it would be that comfortable.
