If you do not enjoy or use scents, this post is not for you. I understand people can suffer from fragrance, This post is for those who can tolerate it an LOVE it.

One of my favorite bloggers mentioned that she scents her home in several different ways. Each room may even have a different scent.

Sachets in drawers, non talc powder on towels, linen spray on sheets.

I find this idea lovely, that a home has a (good) signature scent.

Would you please share your home "scenting" ideas?

Essential oils—a few drops in water heated in an oil warmer. For some reason I like this better than a diffuser.

I use scented candles but only in the Fall and Winter......never in the summer.

I use wax melts in the kitchen. (not every day)

I have a nightlight plug-in in the hall bathroom.

I have a couple of oil diffusers but hardly ever use them.

I use candles throughout the house. I also have reed diffusers in the smaller bathrooms. In addition, i use the plug ins in the kitchen. When I feel like it, I use essential oils in a diffuser that plugs in.

After cleaning, I usually finish with a room spray. I use the same room spray on bed linens as well.

I use plug ins throughout my home. In Fall and Winter I also use candles. I love fragrance!

Another vote for reed diffusers.

I used to burn candles, but, even when they appeared to be burning clean, they were sooting up my walls. I tried toppers and shades, but nothing stopped the discoloration.

I didn't notice the dirt/soot until something was moved and there was a distinct outline.

So, I gave up burning anything.

I've tried many types of scenting devices, but always come back to diffusers.

Easy, clean, subtle.

Oh, dear, I agree with @Auntg, @Witchy Woman and @RetRN about reed diffusers.

I still succumb to the romance of candles, sigh, but not necessarily for scent, more for "ambiance"-- the look of the flame. Especially tea light and taper candles. Try to keep it to a minimum, but...

But using reed diffusers for scent is a great way to go, since I'm not fond of soot.

I love Candles!!!!!!!Can't you tell? lol.

I usually use Candles in my living room, and Wax Melts in my kitchen.

In the Summer months, I tend to just use my was melts, and save the candles for the Fall/Winter Months......

But every day I scent my home, I just love scent, to me it is homey, and makes my home more welcoming!

I use a scented candle (lit) in the main hall of my house; the scent carries through-out by being placed in this location. I have other candles that have a strong scent-throw even when un-lit so they are placed strategically through-out the house; the scent changes for Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer. What isn't being used is placed in a zip-lock bag and brought out for the appropriate season. I love tea-lights and use them as well.

Reed diffusers are nice but I'm always afraid they'll get knocked over. I also find that the need a larger amount of space than a candle. It all depends on the brand.

Soap is placed in every drawer where there clothing, sheets and towels are stored. A glass jar of unwrapped soaps are stored in the linen closet to scent anything in there.

Sachets of lavender hang in all closets and are replaced as needed.

Other than the one candle in the main hall and the tealights, the other candles in my house are all battery-operated, so no scents from them.

At the moment, I have a Swan Creek White Peach & Clove Drizzle Melt

giving scent from this little bird warmer on my kitchen counter.

There is another warmer with the same fragrance in the master bath.

If you use wax melts, depending on scent , use the cooled down ones in drawers, or small bars of soap,many other thing you can try.

I love fragrance, but only from essential oils and not chemicals. In the Fall I place a basket of pinecones by the front door with a few drops of pure cinnamon oil. I soak cotton balls in other oils for other times of year and tuck them into drawers, rub door jams, window sills, etc. My favorites are lemon, grapefruit, and lavender.
