While I prefer wood, I do like the look of this banister railing it is different and the design appealing! I think it adds a lot to the surrounding area ,.

Never go wrong with a custom-made wooden staircase. The look is devine and the richness of a quality hardwood lasts forever. Not a fan of metal scrolling, which becomes passe in a few years.

Formal looking but looks good. Just not for me, I appreciate a more simplistic, casual style.

This is a very eclectic room....the iron stair rail has elements of art nouveau. I'm with team wood when it comes to staircases. But I think this blends well with the room.

Do not like wrought iron on stair railings indoors or outdoors on porches and stairs.....

Lovely..I like that the staircase done in wrought iron compliments the chandelier and chair. It has a nice flow and definitely works.

We almost changed our staircase spindles out to a decorative wrought iron it was going to me wood and iron (then we decided to sell the house so the project was cancelled). It is not as expensive as you would think, but the look is beautiful.
