VPH sphere and mason jars

I'm experimenting with my spheres and jars. I removed the lights from one jar and used it as vase. I will probably continue to tweak this display but this is what it looks like for now. I love these blue mercury glass items with spring flowers.

This looks so pretty. You did an awesome job and those colors just make me happy to look at! What is the sphere sitting in? Do you have the lavender jars? They sure do look blue online.

mallemo, see what you started by taking apart the sphere? That gave me the idea that the mason jars could also be used as vases. These are the blue ones; your eyes are correct. I do have the lavender jars also but I don't have a lavender sphere. I guess I could use my purple spheres with the lavender jars. Oh the endless possibilities....

The sphere and the vase jar are both sitting on mercury glass vases from saveoncrafts. I don't have any of Valerie's mercury glass stands or they would work also.

I love decorating.

Love what you did. I also have the blue jars, but I still have the lights in mine and it sits with several of my bunnies for Easter. I can certainly take the lights out after Easter and use it like you did. I like that idea. Love the bird nest too!!!

VPH always refers to the lavender jars and spheres as periwinkle and suggested using that color with red and silver for July 4th. Do the lavender jars you have look blue enough for that? Just curious. I think using the jars for vases is a great idea!

I never thought of using the periwinkle jars for the patriotic holidays. I'm looking at my periwinkle jar; I held it beside a red sphere. It just might work. It's not the usual blue for red, white and blue. But silver isn't white either. I thought I'd use the aqua blue for July 4 but the periwinkle will work much better, I believe.

I'll post a picture of the three colors together. Give me a couple of minutes.

OK. Here is a pic of VPH mason jars in periwinkle and silver with a red sphere. I do believe they would work for the patriotic holidays. It's hard to capture the periwinkle color in a pic. Let me know what you all think.

Don't you hate the distorted pic of yourself that appears when you take a pic of a sphere? I tried standing at different angles but it seems like it's always there.

Nana5...Thanks for taking a photo of them. I think either of the jars would work don't you? Of course the ideal would be the cobalt blue when and if they ever show up.

I don't have any jars but I have some sphere sets. I have red, silver and the ocean blue that I was going to use for a patriotic look and I'm on waitlist for the cobalt blue. I've had two answers on VPH's Facebook page about when they are coming. One answer was not until Fall and the other answer was June. I hope it's June.

I love your ocean blue and cheery yellow combination, nana. It makes me happy to look at those colors together.

There periwinkle (lavender), red, and silver would look wonderful for the summer holidays. Cobalt blue would probably be the best, but the others look pretty good too.

I just tried the spheres in these and they look nice. Lots of possibilities as you can change the filler in the hurricane...H194868.

Neat! When you get a filler in and your sphere in place, take a pic. Or at least describe what you used and what colors you used. I love this creativity.
