Hi, again thanks for all the wonderful comments on my tablescape! It puts a smile on my face everytime I walk past it, and now I've taken to sitting down at the head of the table and having my morning coffee...at the other end of the table are windows to my sideyard where I can actually see little bunnies hopping and returning birds chirping in my aspen trees.

Some of you asked questions, so will do my best to answer them:

1. Gold Flatware - gift from my Mother an have had for at least 20 years so not from the Q - they are from Retroneau by Excel. They go in the dishwasher often, but the trick I have found is to hand dry them even when they come out of the hot dishwasher...look like they day I received them as a Christmas gift.

2. Pink Mercury Glass Candleholders - wow, everybody seems to love these! I found them at Michaels 2 or 3 weeks ago (on sale 40% off) and loved them, although I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them. I have a BAD habit of buying things I love and then finding ways to use them. Then when I spotted the mossy potted hyacinths in different colors, I decided the perfect use for them was not as intended, but think they made darling planters. I had a hard time deciding on the hyacinth color - they came in pale pink (which I thought provided no contrast to showcase the pink mercury glass), white (too pale), a grape/purple color (very pretty) and then that electric blue/purple that reminded me of the Texas bluebonnets (the "showiest" color and provided most contrast to accentuate the paleness of the mercury glass).

3. The Dressed Rabbits - Whitelinen, I can't say for sure whether HL had them last year, but it was the first time I had seen them, and they literally "hopped" into my cart since they were 40% off (MSRP on them was $50/each...so think I made a good deal for the pair). I've looked at a LOT of bunnies this year, but none spoke to me until Mr. & Mrs. Bun E. Wabbit!

4. The Eggs - I found those just by luck...I had not yet been into Pier 1 this spring, but decided to check their website and found these capiz eggs that so resembled mercury glass. I wanted more elegant eggs to compliment the mercury glass candleholders and my grandmother's china, and these fit the bill. Again, I had a coupon for 10% off my entire purchase so yet another sale find.

5. The Bunny Family and Cake Plate - the large bunny with the Easter basket was a Home Goods find about 2 years ago, then last year I stumbled on the 3 smaller lookalike bunnies at Michaels...they made the perfect bunny family. The cake plate is an ebay find from this past winter and actually was part of those gorgeous snowflake plates Cracker Barrel sold a few years ago. I don't have a Cracker Barrel very nearby so had missed them, but when I saw a photo of those plates on a website, made it a mission to find them. I hit the jackpot and found an ebay auction with the cake plate, 4 mugs and the pitcher at an unbelievably low price, then found four of the dessert plates on a separate ebay auction. I am STILL in the hunt for dinner plates and have Replacements Ltd. (http://search.replacements.com/texis/search/?order=ClientCount-d&query=seasonal%20elegance ) also on the lookout for me. It was great to be able to take a winter cake plate and make it work for the spring, and I am especially pleased how that vignette turned out. However, when I was in Pier 1 purchasing the eggs, I saw some new dinnerware that looks very similar to the Snowflake plates without the pointed edges - it's called the Abigail pattern.

I did succumb to one additional bunny during VPH's most recent visit - the bunny in the carrot basket. He is more rustic and will work beautifully on my kitchen island.

I am already contemplating my next tablescape - I especially loved the one Valerie did in the February show with the Garden in Bloom Garland and the Lavender spheres and Silver Mason Glass jars...I may do a takeoff of that idea when I put away the Easter things, as that particular tablescape would work all spring and summer. I typically don't do 4th of July decorating - the 4th of July is my anniversary and we usually are not home.

I may tweak it a bit, but think I'm finished with my Easter 2014 tablescape. Now you can see why I wanted my pink and green spheres! However, I am pleased with my mercury glass candleholders used as a planter.

http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x126/StElmoQn/2014-03-20111411.jpg

http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x126/StElmoQn/2014-03-20111349.jpg

This last photo is my breakfast nook. I might need to reconsider.

Are the beautiful shiny eggs from Valerie? I've seen similar eggs at a number of places. I really like them.

I like all the components--bunnies, flowers, shiny vase, etc. And your doggie.

Well Done!

Thanks for all the kind words...tablescaping has become my "new" hobby. It's easy to change things up and fun for the seasons. I inherited two sets of china from my grandmothers, so it's fun pulling them out and finding new ways to use them.

For those of you who asked about where things came from:

Tablerunner - Lillian Vernon about 4-5 years ago...I bought it and never used it until last year

Mr. & Mrs. Bun E. Wabbit - Hobby Lobby (only 1 set of them at the store and I grabbed them, especially since they were 40% off)

Pink Mercury Glass & Plant - Michaels (again 40% sale...gotta love that!) I bought the candleholders to put into my guest bedroom, but when I saw the small potted hyacinth, I just raised it up and surrounded with moss...fits with the bunnyscape!

Shiny Eggs & Wine Glasses - Pier 1

For the person who asked about the "tree" in my Christmas photos....that tree is at least 10 years old and came from Lowes. I saw a similar tree last year on a website but don't remember where.

We rarely ever eat at the dining room table - it is used for special occasions, but since it is one of the first things you see when you come in my house, I like to keep it looking good!

Beautiful! Everything looks so pretty on your lace tablecloth. I'll have to check Pier 1 for those eggs. I've been looking for perfect eggs for years, and yours are just what I want! Thank you for sharing with us!

SEQueen you have a wonderful start on Easter. My fave is the pair of pink mercury glass candleholders--beautiful pieces, especially for Easter! Are they from this year? The blue hyacinths are a nice touch; looks wonderful with the pink, very springy.

The rabbit couple looks great on the table, too. I have been looking for a pair similar to this, and have not been able to find anything I like. What luck you found them at HL, on sale too! Did I see these last year?

The mercury eggs are awesome! I have an egg obsession this year, so those caught my eye right away! They are terrific with the pink mercury glass candleholders.

Another piece caught my eye--the plate you used to elevate the small bunnies and nest. I would love to have a set of dishes with a pattern similar to this . . .

It's all GREAT!!
