Absolutely...except darker green wood, prefer dark brown, and replace chair with comfy Chippendale. Oriental rug.

I am not a big fan of the Library Room in a home but this small nook works. I personally would like a paler distressed green paint on the bookcases.

I don’t care for the look even though I love green. The books on the upper shelves are out of reach.

Why would anyone paint over wood in a library? It's done now, but that green is dark and drab. Nice library that needs a celery green, a pretty wool or oriental rug, and either a wing back chair or a chair with matching footstool. The chair in the picture is not a comfy reading chair. I'd also change the dated window treatments.

I really like it. The chair doesn't look too comfortable and I would use less green, but the room is great.

I have to admit that I love olive green (and olives too) but there is a lot of it here. What I would do with this space is replace the chair with a larger French style chair with an ottoman in a less austere fabric... I'd also add a side table with a pretty blue and white reading lamp. I'd most likely also go with something different at the windows... Overall though, I really like this nook... I think the built-ins are great...

I like the structure, too, @stevieb and I am liking your color and style options for those changes.

I am just worried Gary's club would have to find a new headquarters.
