Interesting use of old wood, but I see what I'd call a glaring mistake...those traditional white baseboards stick out like a sore thumb. Also, the inside of the door frame is painted white, probably, the door, as well. I'd paint them the color of the walls.

I'd also like to see the sink cabinet, what style is it?

And, I'd like to see the rest of the house. Not getting a good feeling about this. It appears to me, someone might have gotten the idea to do this without thinking about it fitting in with the rest of the house.

Looks like the carpenter left before finishing the job. Not very appealing and actually pretty pointless.

I'd just end up with a lot of splinters. I just know I'd keep bumping against those "rustic" planks. Although, my cats might like them as scratching posts!

I'd like this if the reclaimed wood were all on one wall to make a focal point wall. I don't care for the corner look of this.
