My daughter has this book case design. Hers is dark wood but it is really pretty .

My previous neighbor had this in front of a window in her guest bedroom with all plants on it. It looked very nice in that bedroom.

That's something my sister would like.

For me, it has entirely too much wasted space, and definitely not sturdy enough to be a real bookcase. I need heavy duty bookcases.

Besides ... I don't like indoor plants.

Looks like something my parents would have had when they were first married in the 1940's. Not a fan of the light wood or the round shape. Usually, I like bamboo; but this is a no.

Unless you have something really special to but on it, I don't care for the look of an etagere. Most of the time people just pile tchotchkes on them. I really don't like the bamboo one pictured.
