This works for me if we are on vacation over seas and this is the hotel where we stay. It would be nice then.

OOOH! I have always wanted a real Spanish style house and this would be a great master bedroom.

It also covers the asian way of thinking about a house/room - having a litte step through makes you more aware of the function of a space.
