the only ones i really like are the lodge looking one, and the one with the view of the ocean. The others just don't look that comfy to me.

None: there was a gas-operated fireplace set up in each room of a small well- known tourist town. The departing guests forgot to turn off the fireplace. The room ultimately caught fire which spread to the rest of the hotel and the little shops on the ground floor.

Very leery of gas fireplaces. We have one in our bedroom here at home. After 10 minutes it is so hot we have to turn it off. Worst decision we made when we put on this master suite addition !

I like the first one because it's homey, cozy and not so grand that I can't relate to it.

i like the 4th. just the fireplace - not the room. i like modern, sleek, gas or electric

I'm with @OKPrincess - those are my two favorites.

I actually have two gas fireplaces in my home. One is in the family room, the other in the Master bedroom. The MB never gets lit as it gets too darn hot for me, lol.

There's something to recommend all of them, though the stark modern one has only the view going for it in my book... I like to sleep cold, so the notion of a fireplace in the bedroom leads to mixed emotions with me. Aesthetically, I love it, practially, I'd probably not want to use it... I do really like the look of the cabin style room.

I'm the odd man out here. I like the second one. Maybe I'm drawn in by "The stockings were hung by the chimney with care in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.....and he'd pick up my hotel bill." LOL!!!

I love them all, but if I must choose just one, it has to be the second one. It’s formal, but not overly ornate. My home is decorated in this style. I am a traditionalist.

Love the lodge one (except for the deer head & antlers) It looks so cozy to me. I just need a cup of hot cocoa!

We came back from a trip to Ireland last month and we stayed at Ballynahinch Castle for two nights. What an amazing place! The weather was very cool and they had a roaring fire going at all times in several of their public rooms. You could snuggle up and take a nap or sit next to the fire with a nice drink. I loved it!

another vote for the 2 rooms above....and I would like to stay in the Christmas decorated one for a weekend in New York to do some shopping
