Pink spheres arrived...medium size broken

I was so excited to get these and of course the pink is sold out. What does QVC usually do when one is broken or should I say shattered.

They issued a refund for the broken one but I really just wanted a set of three. Oh well. Now if I want a set of three in the pink I will have to order another complete set. I'm not even sure they will restock this season. What a bummer.

What a disappointment! I'm so sorry that happened to you. I probably would have returned the whole set and waited to see if they would come back in stock or if an ""as is"" set would turn up.

I probably should have but the ones that are in good shape are so pretty. I also bought a birdcage yesterday to put them in so I just wanted to use them. I know you take a risk to ship glass items but other vendors do a fine job without damage. I will hope for an ""as is"" set of pink I guess but I'll bet that won't happen.

I am sad to read you received a broken sphere. I know that has to be so disappointing. Well, do you like the color of pink you received? If it were me, I would use the remaining two in separate places. I use my smallest purple one as a nite light in the bedroom.

Oh, I would not have returned the two either. The pink is just so pretty. Are you gong to put one in a birdcage? I think you can work around the missing sphere just fine.

I do like the color very much. They are pretty. I guess I just had my heart set on that "set of 3" thing like in most decorating. I'll survive but it is a disappointment.

Actually the two remaining spheres fit in the birdcage but they might be too much. I'll just have to play around with it and see what looks best.

Sorry to hear about your broken sphere. Seems like that is always the case when you really wanted them so bad. I'll bet you can figure something out with the birdcage.

Love the birdcages and keep looking at them in HL but so far have held off. I have no idea where I would put them. Be sure to share a picture when you get your birdcage all done.

Hey JPC! I normally don't whine and complain but this was such a let down. I'll try and figure something out for the two spheres. Actually I did get the birdcage from HL yesterday. I had a gift card from my daughter for Christmas and they were 50% off. This is the one that I bought. They call it "gray and brown" but it actually is more of a gray and pinkish/mauve color I think.

Pretty, pretty birdcage, Mallemo! I love it. I am so sorry that your medium sphere is broken. My pink spheres came yesterday, and I unpacked one set and none are broken. I haven't put batteries in them yet. The second set is not unpacked. I will do that tomorrow. Too tired to do it now, LOL.

I hope you can use your good ones, and really make them work out in your design. It should be really pretty. I see a pink tone in your birdcage-should be fabulous.

I am thinking about starting a thread like "How do you decorate with your VPH spheres? I took photos of my green ones that I worked into a display on top of my 3 stack units in my living room. I am going to ask others to upload photos of the ways they use them. I am trying to avoid a photo bucket link. I wonder how Susan Louise uploaded her photos to this board without having to go through phtotobucket. I may have to ask her, if I can't figure it out for myself.

Thanks Rosehill. I'm glad your one set of spheres is in good shape. I hope the same is true for the second set. I had a bad feeling when I was opening my box as I heard lots of rattling. That is never a good sign. That's also a good idea for the thread about decorating with the spheres.

That's a pretty bird cage, Mallemo. I'll bet the sphere will look terrific in it.

I'm still boycotting HL because of the way they messed me up over a discount last year. I'm probably missing some beautiful items, but I refuse to give them any of my money...not that they would even notice.

Gorgeous birdcage mallemo! Love the idea of those spheres in it. I would have kept the two. Look on the bright side, that's one less item to have to put $$batteries$$ in! For me, that's a dealbreaker! Post pics when you can.

That's a shame. I think they will restock, but understand your reluctance to send the whole thing back... I'd be tempted though. I love the pink, but held off so am hoping to see them show up again later. These spheres have been very popular and I suspect since they sold the pink out very quickly they'll want to try to obtain more. Hope you were satisfied with what they offered for a single sphere...
