The pedestal I used for the pink sphere is a painted ceramic one I got cheap at Hobby Lobby for $6.95. I was unable to use the tallest of the 3 pedestals from the VPH set because there is only 16" from the top of the cabinets to the ceiling, so I couldn't use it with a sphere on top...too tall. I really love the antique look of the silver mercury glass pedestals...I don't put batteries in them and love them better unlit.
