I really like the design and look of that house - both inside and out. To me, it looks spacious and uncluttered, but not sterile. Love those picture windows.

I wouldn’t mind having a regular-sized house based on this design.

I'm thinking a trailer house is something that you pull around for camping or vacations.

They're mass produced and made of materials that are light enough to tow. They're not weather efficient.

Tiny homes use high quality materials and are built to be normal house quality. They have more aesthetics than a trailer and are planned to maximize every inch. They're built to live in, but since they're not permanent on a slab the builders can get around building codes.

There is no way that your clothes are going to fit in that tiny space she called a closet.

And, if I were the guest sleeping down below in the guest area, I wouldn’t sleep a wink knowing that the floating bed was hovering just inches above my body. No way.

Not a fan of tiny houses at all. I think they’d get old really quick. I did like the large windows though. But that’s it. I didn’t like anything else.

I adore it, @ Montana! Appeals to the doll house lover in me. How ingenious and resourceful is that young woman and her husband to come up with all that.

Can just imagine a weekend with it parked next to a glacial lake and mountains in beautiful Alaska....

It's lacking clothing storage space, kitchen storage space.Just doesn't seem comfortable to me.All the extra seats have no back - uncomfortable to sit for long. I'm not a fan of bathrooms right next to the kitchen and I did not see a sink in the BR.

The whole idea of wasting time because you have to move stuff to use stuff and put the moved stuff back so there is room to use the stuff you just pulled out has no appeal to me.

I also didn't see any thing to cook on.

I'll start by saying I'm not at a time in my life where I want a tiny house, but that doesn't mean I won't want a very small living space (or be forced into one) at some time yet in life. So I find these things fascinating.

I also don't obsess with these tiny house shows, and haven't seen a whole lot of them, but of all I've seen, this is the most fully featured and versatile one.

I don't care for the modern slant to the home, but I've never seen one with so much window space (love it!) or such a big open floor space (again, love it!) or such versatile moving pieces. Overall the storage is great.

The 'closet' would be a problem for many people. My husband and I are very casual people. I don't even own a dress. The type of clothing we wear could easily be folded and put in other spaces in the tiny home, and that sliding closet could be for towels, for our circumstances.

I think the key to understanding tiny houses is to realize they are made for people who regardless of their stage of life, are comfortable and willing to live with very few "things". They don't find a need or want for closets full of clothing, racks of shoes, a ton of collectibles, six sets of china, every kitchen gadget David has ever featured on ITKWD, a huge library of books, and a basement full of 'I'll use it someday' stuff.

People attracted to tiny homes travel/live light. They want 'just enough' around them in their living space to get by. It's funny, but with all the decluttering and purging we talk about here, people still don't understand the freeing nature of living tiny. It might not be for you or me at this stage, but in reality, when we purge heavily, we are leaning more toward the way of life these spaces necessitate, they are just the most extreme end of that spectrum.

I will say, in watching videos like this one, it gives me great ideas for using space in my current home, and what can be done when downsizing in the future, even if not on such a small scale. Always something new and interesting to be learned, for sure.

I think tiny living is more for young people who just got out of college or just left their parents home and everything they own came from one little room in their parents house or a dorm. How many people my age could crawl up those stairs to those loft beds?
