Home Tour: Etsy COO

When the ETSY COO was hired, she moved from CA to NY, bringing with her some heirloom pieces. The rest of her space she furnished from ETSY sellers, to get the experience the ETSY customer would have.

I do like this. I love the vintage pieces and the mid-century modern feel! She kept it open and airy with splashes of color and different woods.

I love hearing that she furnished her home that way. It's beautiful. I don't like the gray kitchen cabinets but like everything else very much.

To me it looks very impersonal. It looks like a house for sale that has been staged.

I think her home is beautiful, but a little too sterile for me. I'm not sure you could live like that with kids and pets (yes, I noticed her dog). My two collies would leave too much hair all over that white sofa! Maybe if I lived alone and had a high dollar job I could live like that.

edited to add: @lolakimono you have no idea how it "tickles" me to open the Home Forum and see you have several threads. I always LOVE looking at your posts and seeing the photos you posts, especially in this catagory!! Thank you.

I finally have a bit of time to look for interesting things to post about. School has ended, but I have been going to trainings, taking classes, and I need to go to pack up my room. With our monster flooring project nearing an end, I have some "free" time to just veg after many hours of hard work.

I find the apartment to be blah, colorless and not interesting. She should have hired a decorator.

Some of the pieces I don't like, but that is because I am imagining them in my decor. When I see this home decorated as a whole, I think I love it. If I were to live alone, this could very well be my home.

It's a nice space and, if that's her taste, nicely done. I'm simply not into an all modern, bland, colorless scheme. I'll also be glad when the midcentry modern look fades into the sunset where it belongs and should have stayed... From the little I remember of the tail end of it, it was unattractive then and it's no more attractive now, 'on trend' or not...

Love some of the dark wood pieces. Of course I’m going to say too beige and not enough color. I would get depressed in that home.

Instead of calming, it made me feel unsettled as if I would be waiting on edge for something to happen in that space. On a side note, I have the tower book shelf that is in one of the photos, a good use of space in small rooms but not so much in more open space. Nice of her to show how Etsy can be a good source of hand made home goods.
