I think this is beautiful, especially the dark version.

Why no chatter about this today?

Are these worth the money???

I love the look of these fountains but the reviews for others Q has sold have not been very good so I am not sure about buying one; would love someone who owns a similar one to weigh in on whether this is worth the money or not; would be a real pain if it had to be returned.

I have had two. Not the same style as the TSV. Both stopped working within one year, but of course after the 30 day return time. We followed the directions carefully. In addition the resin cracked. I would only purchase a stone fountain in the future, or one made out of metal. They seem to be the ones that last. Although the TSV is lovely and truly appealing, I am not ordering it. Good luck to all who do.

I ordered one in the natural color stone. I hope it works. I checked two different stores and the prices were higher even without the lights and extras. So, we are going to give it a chance. We also got the remote control because I am not sure how to turn on anything manually any more .

I am trying hard not to order. I really want one! I have a solar one from 3 or 4 years ago. I think it was a TSV, see below. It works fine. Never had an issue. It requires a little upkeep. I rinse it out twice a week and put in new water. If it's really hot out, it may need to be topped up every day or every other day.

I was wondering this myself. I really think they're quite pretty, but I'm probably not going to order. My home sits on a large lot, and I really think I'd need two. We're also thinking about selling this year and moving to a smaller home. Then I'd only need one lol. I think I'll wait. Would love to hear reviews about it though.

For us, it's not practical. We use a solar fountain that is just one level for our bird visitors to bath in. Additionally, since I clean it daily, I don't want to have to worry about a bunch of levels either.

For those that have a place for it where NO birds will use it, then get it. However, if you think you'll have small birds like finches that will use it, consider the maintenance aspect.

As I mentioned in another thread, there are so many folks who want to know how much water to put in it and how often they have to replace the water. Those folks (JMO) who are concerned about that, should just have it in a covered sun room inside.

Additionally, it will still need to be cleaned fairly often with s crupbrush and soapy water. Over time, slim will develop.

I too wanted to order but remember all the less than stellar reviews. It is not an item I want to return. I would love to buy the St. Francis of Assisi bird feeder but am hesitant

Home Depot had a very similar fountain last year. Some nurseries also have cement statuary in various designs including bird feeders. You could try something like that so you can talk to someone about your concerns.

Spring can't get here soon enough!!!!!

I had a solar fountain for a while, and it worked well, until it didn't!! I had to replace parts a couple of times, and the thing was always dirty and clogged, and then finally it just stopped working. I tossed it out. I invested in a hard wired fountain instead.

It has a battery that you charge overnight. They say it will last a month on a charge.

No way would I fool with charging that battery. If I wanted or needed it, I'd get the fountain, ditch their pump and get my own electric pump on eBay. I have a number of fountains in the house and several for outside. I always keep an extra pump or two on hand in case one quits, as they often do. The fountain itself is about what they sell at Lowe's, Home Depot, or nurseries minus the S&H charges. Don't ever throw out a fountain because the pump quits; pumps are readily available many places including the big box hardware stores. I got my favorite fountain for outside several years ago at Walmart. It also has birds drinking from it.
