I have a lot of Wilton Armetale, large chargers that I sometimes put under dinner plates, and a lot of serving plates and platters. I have had them for over 30 years and they have held up beautifully, granted they are only used a few times a year. They look like new. Any signs of wear just add to their patina, like real pewter, I would suspect.

I didn't know they still made them, because I never see them anywhere, and you never hear about them, but I really liked them years ago, and still do. I purchased them from the Wilton outlet, someplace near York PA.

If you get them, don't put them in a dishwasher. My husband did this accidentally, and they can become discolored and lose their shine in the dishwasher.

I have goblets and some other colonial type pieces by Woodbury - wih I had bought what you have years ago. The pattern the bride picked out is very nice-of course this seems to be made partially in China now not Pa but have gotten high reviews on Macys. Dillard and Belk. Think I'll buy her some-thanks for your input
