Gary always advised that vigorous vacuuming initially would take care of the problem but it never did for me...until now. I just purchased a new upright Simplicity vacuum cleaner and after several vacuumings my rugs no longer shed. I now realize the problem was my old, less efficient vacuum and not the rugs.
