Kitchen Puttering and Changing/Cleaning

I am changing out my kitchen 'over-the-cabinets look' today and there is lots of up and downs on a ladder. I am a bit tired but so happy with the new look and freshening everything for Spring.

Yes .. i have done this in several homes... and it is up and down....

because you have to look at it from all directions ...

My other problem is i'm kinda good at it .. so my friends want me

to come and do their's .....i think I may be getting too old .....

Your arrangment is very cute ....i have always loved roosters for

the kitchen ....

@dex I love roosters also. I have them everywhere in our home and especially out on our screened porch and patio area. They are just so cheerful.

Super cute - and too - that's the best kind of rooster to have - we have chickens - 15 to be exact - hubby had to find another home for ours - he was very ornery and took every chance he could to use the spurs on his legs to attack you! Plus, I honestly don't think the hens miss him...........

Love it as usual....I love to change it up. It really makes me happy to look at nice things and admire how pretty it looks.

I am curious ..what was up there before the change? Did you minimize it? I was thinking of taking a few things off of my above cabinets shelf. It isn't overcrowded but a few things can go.

I didn't change a lot. I had plants and just rearranged them and added a rooster or two where I had swans before. I love to change out with the seasons. I try to keep the over the cabinets area simple to blend with my island vignettes. So much fun.

Below is one of the roosters I use on my island. I got him at Hobby Lobby several years ago for 50% off. Wooooohooooo!

Ive had my eye on that beautiful rooster for over a year at HL. Kept telling myself no wait until kitchen remodel is done --went to HL this week (for the first time in a long time) to browse the roosters. Oh NO they have very small selection of roosters & one is not him😢😢😢😢😢. Asked the sales person if they were getting more -- no our store is phasing out alot of things.

Guess I'll see what HomeGoods has. I want to use him as the centerpiece on my "pot shelf" in my kitchen.

Your vignettes are as always beautiful & simple!

He is gorgeous. Mr. Rooster needs to be seen.

Our first Hobby Lobby opened in this area in February. My friend and I walked around in there for about 2 hours. I got a few new picture frames and adorable Bunnys ...can't wait to go back.

How pretty, @Regal Bee I love that combination.

I progressed from a duck (80s) to a chicken theme and still love the farm look. I have Susan Winget plates and canisters on display in my kitchen. I decided to go with only hens on the plates, however, since I wanted more estrogen than testosterone in my kitchen!

The canisters have both roosters and hens.

@homedecor1, If all else fails, check ebay. I see quite a few nice looking ceramic roosters that are not identical, but a few are close.

I've had my eye on this beautiful big rooster by Fitz & Floyd (or maybe it Villeroy & Boch) at HomeGoods. He's so colorful that he would be perfect but not for $100😮
