I haven’t had time to get any updated pictures. I was also trying to wait until it was more decorated. We got a few things on the walls.

My sisters family is here from Chicago this weekend. My mom was so excited to cook a meal for everyone. We had a Easter dinner last night. Today we made tacos for lunch. Then my sisters and my parents went roller skating. They got back and we had dinner and watched a movie. Then they went back to my sisters to get the kids to bed. They are leaving tomorrow morning.

We have a wild golden when people come over. It takes about ten minutes for her to calm down. My nephew is a little afraid of dogs. So we finally figured out how to keep her calm without being on a leash. She hates when people come over and she is on a leash she barks and barks. She loves people so much and hates when she can’t get to them.

@ccassaday. It was kind of anticlimactic to have the house finished and the family move in. Whew, it seemed to fly by so fast and smoothly. Its exciting to have it all done and now look forward to see it with the finishing touches which will undoubtedly take much longer, a work in progress. I think we all thoroughly enjoyed your photos and description...I know I did. Thanks for posting them.

We are loving it but it does seem weird. My parents got my grandmas tractor today so my dad will be moving dirt and starting landscaping. Chloe is going to love having a fence. Hopefully by fall. Our neighbors golden keeps coming over when she is out. He wags his tail and they sniff each other. I think she has a new boyfriend. I promise to post pics here when I get a chance and it gets a little more decorated. We have some mismatched stuff hopefully that will get replaced soon.

Is your new house a split entry? The picture looks like our Pa. house which was a split entry.

Not sure what you mean by split entry. As you walk in through the foyer the den is on the right. Then you have my bedroom and bathroom. My parents bedroom is on the other end. I usually here them called a split bedroom ranch here.

Oh Ok - our house when you alked in the front door you were on a landing - 7 steps up to the living room or 7 steps down to the basement. There was no wall in the living room on the side where the steps are - just a railing so it had a loft effect.

The only steps we have are the basement steps and the front porch. We added concrete to the garage so there is not a step to go in the garage from the house either. We pretty much made it a ADA home because of my disability and so my parents can stay here a long time as they age. Hopefully they stay healthy and can enjoy 15 to 20 years here. My grandma is healthy at 85. My dad’s father lived until 93.

I will really try and get some more pictures today.
