To me I do not think there is a matching theme with the art work. The frame placement is nice.

The art work is hung too low. Looks like the ceiling is tall. I'd try the artwork starting a foot above the couch. Don't necessarily like the artwork itself, but the scale looks okay. I'd actually prefer it where the storage unit is, but I'm guessing that's the only place to put the storage unit.

Addressing the artwork only, I feel it needs to be displayed on an open, unobstructed wall so you can see the pictures clearly.

It's fine as a grouping. I've seen many such groupings that look all right. But why hide part of it behind the couch? And it's too far to the right.

I wonder if they hung the art when they had other furniture and now their new furniture doesn't work.

I think the artwork is fine, and well placed. However, the pillows on the couch seem too busy and bright, so close to the large artwork. The pillows fight with the artwork for my attention.

Perhaps one of those pillows could be placed in the gray chair. Pillow interest for the couch could be more muted, using some different fabric, shapes and textures.

The wall is large and white and the ceiling is high which can, in my opinion, support the artwork. The placement is good as the entire collage forms a perfect square.

I don't personally care for the different frames.

If the sofa could be moved to the opposite side, facing the artwork, I think you might appreciate the artwork more.

I think when you do a picture grouping there has to be something in common. For instance I have a grouping over my sofa and they are all pictures of the sea or ships.

They can all be the same color or subject or maybe they are all black & white photos etc. but you can't just put random pictures together or it is just too busy.

When art is displayed as a group, I like to see a common theme. I would raise the grouping so none is behind the sofa and center it on the sofa away from the lamp.

I actually like it even though I never would’ve thought to hang the pictures that low. In my opinion most people hang artwork too high.
