I hated dealing with the sponge mop and pail to wash my galley kitchen and small bathroom floors. I happened to see a Swifter Wet Jet commercial the other morning ... so went down to the hardware store and bought one.

Fantastic. The pad portion swivels and gets in around the fixtures in the bathroom and in the kitchen the pad gets under the fridge, stove, etc. No dealing with a pail and rinsing a sponge mob. Just remove the pad when you're done and throw it away, and hang up the Wet Jet!

So glad I saw that commercial!

The concept of it is good. But having to buy the cleaner and pads all the time is expensive. Last year I bought my mom the Joe Campanella mop. You just fill the thing up with water or whatever you want and it hooks onto the microfiber mop. Same concept as a swifter but nothing to keep buying. You can just wash the microfiber pads. She used it yesterday in the new house and it worked great. She can even use it dry to get the dog hair.

I love all of the Swiffer products. They're convenient and do a great job, and I wouldn't be without them. Just like the Clorox toilet bowl wands with the disposable cleaning pads. I got rid of all of those nasty bowl brushes and replaced them with the Clorox system. I don't mind paying a little extra for the ease and convenience of these products, plus they do a great job of cleaning!

I have one of the original Swiffer Wet Jet that doesn’t use batteries. Imagine my surprise when I bought one for our lake house and I couldn’t get it to work. The reason was the new ones require batteries. The problem I had was that there was no information packaging. So, I looked it up online and found that it needed batteries and where to insert them. Lesson learned and the Swiffer works great.
