Thank you.

I am not sure if the 2018 models fill all the way up. I think that changed due to environmental standards. The Maytags are made in the USA, and that doesn't mean much, lol, any longer. My Samsung lasted about 7 years. I actually thought that was good knowing how c a r a p pp p p y most appliances are made. I don't mind spending the money on good products. I just wish I had bought a 2017 speed queen. I'm apprehensive of the 2018's due to several changes!

Thanks though!

Ladies...hello. Who has a suggestion for a new washing machine that truly does have a gentle or handwash cycle? I wash a lot in the gentle cycle, and my Samsung is going out on me. It also never seems to really wash on a delicate cycle.

I want top loading and I want white. Price can go as high as $1000 or even $1200. Has anyone bought one recently? I also need to be able to wash my lightweight down comforter. THanks!

i would try to get a speed queen washer but try to get one from 2017 if there are any left. new ones made for 2018 have change and not nearly as good as the 2017 or older. its early in the year so you probably can still get one. good luck.

I purchased LG top load washer and matching dryer about 6 months ago and find they are easy to operate, lots of variety for different wash cycles and energy saving dryer. I would recommend, at least check them out. I purchased at a appliance center named Spencer’s, but I know Lowe’s carries this brand. Also, they have a high rating in all I read before I purchased. Good luck!

About 5 years ago my 13 year old washer died. I looked around quite a bit, my laundry room is very small so I did not have room for a front load machine. I purchased a GE top loader without the agitator and it has served me well. so far. The handwash cycle works very well. It takes some getting use to if you have had the older top loads that fill comp[letely with water, you can watch some of the videos on you tube.Happy shopping.

Speed Queen seems to get a lot of good reviews on this forum. However, a little over a year ago, I purchased an LG and I've been pleased with it, with the exception that I cannot reach the bottom. It doesn't have an agitator and its deeper than my original Whirlpool. Never thought about not being able to reach the bottom -- so if you are 5'4" or shorter, you might want to keep that in mind.

Happy shopping!

A couple of years ago, I bought a new GE washer from Home Depot. The one demand that I had was that I could control the amount of water going into the machine. I am all for the environment, but my DIL's machine uses so little water per load, and clothes are all heaped together. Just my preference, but a deal breaker for me.

yes, I am 5ft 2 in and had difficulty finding a top load machine for the same reason you mentioned. That is why i went with the ge model, the tul was wide but not as deep. Although i liked some of the features on other brands, they would not have worked for me because i could not reach in to get items out of the machine. I still even have to use a grabber or reacher for some item is my ge. Thanks for bringing up this point.

About 6 weeks ago I purchased a new Whirlpool top loader and am extremely satisfied with this washer, even tho others gave it poor reviews.

This washer has the different wash cycles I need, as well as a deep water selection that was extremely important to me. My clothes are clean and totally wet when they come out of the washer, so I am happy to be rid of the water saving front loader Bosch I got rid of. I too have problems reaching deep enough into the tub to retrieve socks and other small items, but am still pleased with my choice.

With tax, my washer was about $520.

I rented. Different models offer different features. I am still inclined to prefer the top washer with the agitator. You can still have a gentle cycle with it.
