DIY Bookcase (If You're a Builder, That is...)

They had help figuring out the dimensions of the pieces, and had a manufacturer cut the boards to the specs. Her husband, a builder, helped with the assembly, which took 16 hours.

What do you think of the end result?

At five feet tall, I wouldn't be able to reach most of those books!!

Neither would I! I'd have a hard time getting up after having to sit on the floor to see what was on the lower shelves!

I think it is unique and fun, but wouldn't want it in my own home.

I think it would be especially fun for children and their books.

I like it, but I would be afraid it might make me dizzy. Also, I wouldn't want to have to get a ladder to get some of the books off the shelves.

I think it's absolutely ingenious! I am a right angle person (as opposed to circles and swirls, lol!). So you can imagine what right angle boxes in a circle/swirl is doing to my brain!!!

I still love it but don't know if I'd be able to live with it and still think it's ingenious!!

There might be a family out there (I know one... a nephew and his family...the kids are home schooled) that wants to put books at the forefront for their kids. They might really enjoy this idea! I will pass it long.

For me I could enjoy this idea as a basement reading room.

I love the flooring, the color of the walls, and the new bookshelves! Makes me wish I had a handy husband who could manage a DIY project! Unique and such fun!

It's interesting - like the design. For me personally, i don't keep a lot of books so would not want this in my home.

It’s a cute idea...for someone else.

Right now I have large bookcases and they are filled up. I have never been able to Part with a book and an even have my childhood books. But , now I am kinda getting tired of owning so many. All I do is look at them and dust them. I already read most of them more than once and I am feeling a tug to purge and rid of all of them except the only ones I really need and use often.
