Only thing I see that could be an issue, how close to the sink is this, I would hate to be schleping the water vessel for the coffee back and forth

@kaydee50,Actually, I'd use an antique table and put shelves out of old wood! I guess you saw my house under My "Country" Christmas.

Also, no refrigeration for half& half, other flavored creamers. Not a wine drinker but a wine fridge would be nice.

I don't serve guests coffee/tea without offering a little nosh to go with.

@Snowpuppy,Absolutely! DS would have absolutely agreed with you. I didn't think of it! I'd get or would have installed a wider cabnet unit on the right side (there's enough room and most people are right handed), and install a little fridge.

Waste of $$$$ in our home. We rarely drink wine. I could find much better options for an empty corner (which I do not have).

That would make a nice liquor area for DH. I would leave the coffee maker in the kitchen since it does not look like there is a sink or running water in the area. I already have the owl on the shelf.

I could use a creation like that to put all of my jewelry cases on those shelves. Put a mirror somewhere and it's done.

I think a drinks/snacks center would be good for homes with kids/teenagers or just traffic. Coffee, tea, juice, soda, liquor, espresso, wine with snacks/fruit and a mini fridge and microwave. It would be easy for the kids to get something without standing with the main fridge open and looking while things defrost. I think we would all use it differently, but it would be used.

@Tigriss,Oooooo...you just made it better! Teenagers could also keep out of the cooking area which was always a challenge here. Did you have that?

@Regal Bee posted a picture of something similar she did in her home. I have an open concept house, so something like this wouldn't work.
