Thought I would not like it but I do. I would like to do it with stamps that are meaningful ....places we have visited, where ancestors were born, etc.

I think they're very pretty but it's just not my style or something I would use.

I have to confess that my eyes were immediately drawn to that chair though....my first thought was "why is there a Ram in the living room"? LOL!!!

Love it. Gives a cosmopolitan flavor to a room. That sort of vintage engraving look, whether stamps or other documents, appeals to the bibliophile in me!

Even though I usually go for cool, misty colors rather than warm ones, that room is very appealing to me. I'd like to curl up in that shaft of light on the couch, sip my tea and gaze out the multipaned French door or window...

I love it! I have a collection of antique botanical prints. They are Latin or German.

I like the stamps, but not the stark white matting or the frames.

They are too stark white for the room as are the lamps.

And I can tell I don't 'get' decorating trends.

The walls, curtains sofa and coffee table and chair are great together, but the end tables and ottomans and lamps are out of some other room totally!

I like those.

Some years ago I picked up what appear to be framed transfers, to an opaque material, of cancelled postcards behind botanical prints. I can't decipher the language and that adds to the mystery, and I guess you could say, eloquence, to the set of three.

I particularly like that my wall color comes through, and that the subject takes up the whole frame.

Postage stamps used to be nice quality and wall-art-worthy. Now - not so much.
