Home fragrance ?

I am wanting some type of long lasting fragrance for my home. I don't really know anything about the Scentsy things. What does everyone recommend & why??

I can’t burn candles in my apartment, so I use a plug in tart warmer. Right now I have evergreen scented oil in it....smells great. I have it on my kitchen counter and it fills my 2 bedroom apartment with the scent. Nice but not overpowering.

I have candle warmers and also melt tarts, but my favorite way to scent is to warm a pot of water on the stove that has cinnamon, cloves, and/or imitation vanilla flavoring in it. It’s cheap, and I’m adding moisture as well as scent to the house. You can also add cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, and citrus peels to the water.

I just make sure my house is clean and I will buy large candles from Yankee and just leave the lid off for a for a few hours and close it back up. The Yankee and Wick candles have a good cold throw of scent. Also, I make sure I always have open containers of baking soda in my closets, it really makes a difference in the musty smell. My visitors tell me my house smells like church so I'm doing something right.

wax melts. there are a ton of scents and very inexpensive. they make my place smell really good and when i come home, the scent is still there.

I like the electric Yankee easy melts. Plug it in, it melts with no smoke. You can easily change out the scents. I bought mine on sale at Kohls.

After buying a few wax melt burners, i found happy wax ,i love the burner,their wax melts are great,better homes and gardens, scentional can be bought at walmart, next i want to try shorties ,they get great reviews,make candles ,and wax melts.

I use the plug ins from Bath and Body Works. One lasts several weeks My all time favorite Christmas scent is" Cinnamon Stick".

I use a diffuser. Right now I've got a balsam fir oil in the air. Smells like Christmas.

I like a warmer & scented wax melts because there's no open flame. I'd be concerned about using a diffuser, thinking our cat might knock it over and the oil would spill and damage furniture or carpet. Fortunately our warmers are in places where the cat doesn't go.

Yankee candle scenterpiece warmer. The wax is in a cup so no having to clean it up and you can change fragrances as you like. The melt cups are expensive. But if you stock up when they have a sale once or twice a year they are pretty cheap. They will have a $25 off $50 or a $50 off $100 few times a year. So you can get a ton of meltcups free.

I have several Lampe Berger lamps in my home which I love. Great scents to choose from. I also use the wax melts but don't like them as well.

The diffuser I use is a nebulizer kind. There is nothing to spill or knock over because everything is enclosed. It is quite safe.☺

Although I do burn candles, wax melts are my go to. My favorites are the Better Homes and Garden brand at Walmart. They are cheap and longer lasting than other brands I've tried

@OKPrincess LOL We keep the warmers pushed into corners (kitchen counter, bathroom counter) so he can't get behind them.

It all depends. I am a huge scent person, so I love scented candles, as well as melts for the electric melt/tart burner. If you want just a little scent, you may want to try Pier One's Diffusers, they are very nice and add scent, but softly and not at all overpowering.

Also Bath and Body Works has plug ins that add scent as well, and although they seem strong at first, the scent usually dies down a bit after a while...

I may be old fashioned, but I still love the look and feel and smell of a nice scented candle, especially during the holidays! I just make sure I always get 100% Soy for less soot, and a better burn.....

I also only burn for 2-3 hours at a time.

The nice thing about melts is that you don;t have to watch or worry about anything like you do with a scented candle, so many people prefer that way of scenting their home....

So it is up to you, but there are a lot of different ways to do it, based on what you are looking for......Have fun trying new things!

@D Kay Let me add my vote for Cinnamon Stix too! It's my first time using that particular scent from BBW and I am absolutely in love with it. When I got home from work tonight and walked in the door my house smelled so wonderful......and like the holidays! There is just something about cinnamon
