Is it 1 marble tile with the hook integrated into it to blend with the corresponding tile? I, too, am remodeling but am undecided about converting the tub into a shower. Builder told me the cast iron tub would need to be sawed in half to remove it since the doors in the house are so narrow.

We are in the process of remodeling our bathroom. We are taking out the tub and putting in a shower. In our current tub area we have a hand bar that we use to hand our wet washclothes. But, with new tile going up in the shower we don't want to make a lot of extra holes. We are going to put two safety bars but we don't want to clutter it up with too much more.

But, where do you put your wet washclothes when you don't have a tub? TIA.

We have glass doors on the shower/tub, instead of a shower curtain. The inside of the doors has 2 bars across. It works great. It holds shampoo bottles etc. and that is where I put sponges, clarisonic, wash clothes etc.

I have an older home and we are constantly in updating mode. What i did in the hall bathroom was to buy those large decorative suction cup holders that look like metal. They work great. I think that the Command hooks might work as well. I've seen those in some decorative styles.

I fold the towel in half lengthwise and hang it on the towel bar to dry - there is room beside it for the washcloth. DH's towel bar is too short for both so he put a ring style hanger in the shower for his washcloth.

I often look at the bathrooms in model homes and think - where do they expect 2 people to hang necessities like towels and washcloths as they usually only have one towel bar. The guest bath in our house came with only room to hang one small towel. We removed that and put up a long towel bar there and two ring style hangers in the tub/shower for washcloths.

I did mine a few years ago. I put a couple niches in the walls for shampoos and soap, and two double sided metal hooks for hanging things. But, I generally hang my wet bath towel over the door to dry, and put it on a hook inside the shower only after it's dry. I use a puff rather than a washcloth, but I do use a small microfiber towel to dry the shower down (I live in a humid area, and don't want mold!). That towel goes on a hook to dry. I also have two towel bars outside of the shower to hold the bathmat and any extra towels.
