Cordless stick vac recs?

I've been looking at the Black and Decker,Bissel,Hoover. I don't want to spend much more than 130$. I just need it for cleaning up leaves etc. from houseplants that kind of thing from hardwood floors. I have a Dyson ball regular vacuum,can't stand it. Also a corded stck vac but use that upstairs on bedroom hardwood. Anyone have recs?

I have a corded Shark Rocket. It now comes cordless.

All I can say is that my Shark Rocket stick can suck up hell on both hardwood & carpeted floors. I hear the cordless one does the same.

I've had the Black & Decker for several years and love it. Quick cleanup in the kitchen (those crumbs) front hall for leaves - up the stair treads for a quick zip. Paid around $30 to $50 and wouldn't part with it. And...........inside of car.

I bought a Bissell from Ace Hardware ... around $85 or so. Great on bare floors ... not so good on carpet.

Have a Shark Navigator from BBB. I love it. Leaves, cats tracking litter, husband tracking crumbs.

In my search for the perfect vacuum -- I now have a ridiculous number of vacuum cleaners. You name it -- I've tried it. I just replaced a Shark corded vacuum because I couldn't stand the fact that it didn't stand on its own. (I have another Shark that does stand on its own and I really like it -- but it too is corded.) I used that one downstairs -- mostly for cat litter. I decided to replace it with a cordless stick. I liked a Dyson cordless stick I have upstairs -- until it decided to stop working. I did a lot of research and ended up with a Hoover. I love it so far. I have a Hoover Linx that is several years old. I use it mostly in the kitchen and laundry room to corral crumbs and bits from unpacking purchases. It's so easy to grab it and do a quick pass that I've been considering buying another one for the bedroom level to keep the bathroom floors clear of hair. I don't use mine on carpet, so I cannot speak to its effectiveness on carpet.

hi skylark. we bought a cordless black and decker sweeper that has a spinning brush and has a removable dustbuster for small jobs to. it picks up really well.we allso have a shark rocket that we allso love. my wife actually likes the bd cordless better. it was like 95 bucks in walmart and for an extra 5 bucks you can an extended warrenty that will replace it for 2 years.good luck.

we have the shark rocket and we love it. i saw the shark rocket cordless and liked what i saw. its like 270 bucks.

Regardless of brand name vacuums, if you are at BedBath & Beyond take a look at their clearance aisles. If there is so much as a mashed in area on the box, it is put on clearance and of course your 20% coupon on top of that !

This is the store policy: doesn't matter that the box is so thick and there is more packing stuff inside to protect the vac. The cashier who rang up my vac couldn't believe what I paid because she had bought the exact type the day before for almost double the price.

So, your desired price is close at hand: good luck searching and being the first to spot it !

I too love my Hoover linx from Costco. It picks up crumbs, leaves, broken glass, even does great on carpeting! Favorite thing is the removable battery so I can charge it and keep the vac in the broom closet.

I think whatever you decide to buy it's best to know a little bit about the battery in it. Make sure it is replaceable...one that can be accessed easily to change out. Some units have built-in batteries where you cant' replace them. When they eventually stop recharging that's when the thing goes in the trash. For the replaceable/rechargeable battery determine if you will be able to find a replacement for it and at what cost.

@MoJoV. I recently purchased (August) the Shark Ultralight and absolutely love it from QVC. I bought it mainly for doing baseboards, blinds, sofa, chairs but also when you are using as a standup vacuum. The suction is absolutely awesome. I was totally impressed. I would not buy a cordless because I don't think it will give the same suction by Shark or Dyson. I paid $129 plus change which is an excellent price because I did shop around. I own an Oreck for my big vacuum which I have had for 4 years now with no problems. If I needed to buy another vacuum it would be Shark. Hope this helps you out. The other vacuums you mentioned cannot compare to the Shark. Dyson. of course, is very good but expensive.

Shark Navigator gets my vote, I use it on my hardwood floors right onto carpeting, sucks up everyting and sits in a small charging cradle.

Thank you everyone for the response you all gave. I appreciate the advice I'm given here all the time. I'm looking at the Shark Rotater here at the Q. 99$ free shipping. And various colors. You all seem to like Shark brand. This would just be for light cleaning so how bad could it be,right?
