Coffee Table Centerpiece

Was looking for an inexpensive centerpiece for my coffee table. Went to TJ Maxx earlier and bought a small wreath for $9.99 and pumpkin spice candle for $7.99 and made my own.

@Katcat1, thank you. I’m not very creative but I’m learning. My mom did all our florals and arrangements but now that she’s passed we’re having to learn.

@itsmetoo, I know about the savings. The ones I liked were $30 on up and I like mine better.

@qvcfreak, You have an excellent start. You know how much your centerpiece would cost in a store. Probably $40 or $50 easy maybe more. You have the imagination so go with it and have fun! Take care. P.S. I love decorating and always have. I use to rearrange furniture (pushing, of course) and adding different touches. Actually, I rearrange my sofa, chair and desk in my apt. It looks so much better. The sofa was on the wall and I move in to be like an L shape to the wall. It is going to stay this way because it feels cozy.

@Katcat1, that was my mom, she loved decorating. I’m sure your living room looks beautiful.

I added this to the mirror. it’s supposed to be used on a door. It had a ring to hang but I cut it and used it like a garland, paid $5 at Michael’s

That's very pretty. I usually have some of my elephant collection on the coffee table ... but I'm in the midst of a research project, it's now stacked with books ... hiding the elephants!

I do that quite often, using candles in the center or some other type of seasonal/holiday decoration in the center. Sometimes I get tired of a particular wreath hanging on the wall or on one of my doors and I make a table decoration for the kitchen, living room or dining room. I had a very large green Christmas wreath that had light flocking with pine cones and red berries. I put 3 medium sized 3 wicks in the center and had it on the dining room table. It was stunning.

Here’s what I did for the dining room table. I already had the orange pumpkin, I got the green one at Tuesday Mornng for $6.99 and I added a floral spray (used for floral arrangements) $2.99 at Michaels but just opened it and laid it between the pumpkins

And another example of how seasonal decorating doesn't have to be expensive or excessive!

You have chosen very versatile pieces that can be mixed, matched, and moved to many different locations if you want a different look each year!

Thank you. I guess I paid more attention than I thought when mom was decorating.

She didn’t have a lot but she would buy beautiful bouquets and made sure they had eight stems. She would cut the stems and add touches to greenery she already had and made beautiful arrangements. She would buy 2 or 3 bouquets depending how full the stems were. The end result was so pretty. They were all different as some had long vases, baskets or bowls but all coordinated. She was very creative.
