Mirage Candles

Costco has a set of 5 Mirage Candles, various heights, on sale for $20.00. Includes remote and they have timers. Ivory is the only color I've seen, if anyone is interested.

That's a lot cheaper than Luminara. I have had bad luck with the Liminara. I wonder how these will perform. Great price.

Someone mentioned these in a thread a couple of weeks ago. I got them (at $39) and they are a very nice set. Only complaint (and not a biggee since I will not use them in a fully darkened room) is that the flicker throw upward shows circles on the ceiling. The Luminara just has flickering light. Other than that, this is a GREAT value at the current $19.99 especially since it includes 20 AA batteries so you are all set from the get go! This would be a very nice gift. I have several Mirage tapers and lots of Luminara, and I like the Mirage for the price. The flicker isn't as realistic as Liminara, but the color of the glow is more like a real candle. I saw those candles at Costco, but I don't need any more pillars. I think it's a great buy. Also, the Mirage seem to have a longer battery life than the Luminara.

Thank you, that's a great buy! Plus the batteries and the shipping and handling are included in the $20.00 price. That's a big savings over others I've seen.

The one big negative that I can see is, the Mirage pillar candles from Costco use 4 AA batteries and only get up to 350 hours of run time. Where as the Mirage pillar candles from QVC use either 2 C cell batteries, or 2 D cell batteries, and get between 650 - 675 hours of run time.

If you're only planning on running them occasionally, it's not that big of a deal. But if you plan on running them daily, the difference in run time would end up costing you more in batteries, than the amount you save on the purchase.

Loved all the Duracell batteries are included, remote & candles have timers.

Great deal at that price, and even though I don't need any more ivory candles, I would have been very tempted if there was one around here.

I just bought a set of Mirage tapers. I'm not crazy about the way the light "flickers." Actually, my favorites are the generic multi-set I bought from Amazon for about $20. I think they have the most realistic looking flame and like them much better than even Luminara.

You can ourchase from Costco online with no membership. I don't even have my member number in my online account.

best thing they came with the Duracell batteries & I haven't opened mine but went to my friends house tonight - from a distance you'd never know they weren't luminara! Plus, the remote turns them all on & off.

They have a very nice glow also. I think I'll try them for a month or 2 and if they are good I'm getting another set!

trying to justify a 2nd set here, for $20 how can you go wrong,

Admittedly the flame is not as well designed as the other brands but I don't want to spend that much on a fake candle,

I have several of the Mirage candles in the 3 1/2" diameter size and work very well for me. Some I've had for a couple years or so and still going strong. I prefer the Luminara but for the price difference, I can enjoy the Mirage too.
