At this time, Dover White is at the head of the pack for me! What is your favorite trim color? Doesn't fall make you want to paint something to get ready for the winter? LOL!!

I want to paint two bathrooms. Have other things to do now, but it's on the list. I like stained trim. White isn't practical for me. I'd end up dinging it every time I vacuumed. Haha.

All of my trim is made from cherry wood. It is stained with a cherry finish, I never have to paint it.

My preference is always some shade of white. I don't care for stained woodwork at all.

I don't care for stained trim.

All my trim is painted Sandstone Cove. My ceilings are the same.

I keep seeing black trim and doors in decorating magazines and I think it looks really good sometimes. Don't think I'd want the whole house done that way though.

It depends on the room. For the kitchen I like off-white trim. I avoid a stark white trim and white walls. For the living room, foyer, dining room and hallways I prefer a stained wood trim.

I have black windows/patio door like this with no wood trim. All the other doors, moldings, baseboards are white.

I used to have a big, old Victorian house w/ large mouldings in all rooms. All of the trim was stained dark, & in some rooms, the shellac was so old, it literally looked black.

There was also a very ornate & darkly stained fireplace mantel.

With the encouragement of my BFF, I decided to paint all of the trim white - even that mantel.

Oh, the outcry! 'No! You're not going to paint that, are you?!'

Anyway, painting that trim was the best thing I ever did! (well, not really )

The rooms brightened up so much, and it 'tightened' the look of the place. The fireplace was even prettier after being painted.

NO OFFENSE to those who love stained trim.

To each their own.

In my new place, I use white: Dunn Edwards Swiss Coffee.

Thank you @faeriemoon. Having previously lived in old houses, I wasn't used to such a contemporary vibe, but I do love it!

For white trim, I like "Simply White" by Benjamin Moore,(kitchen), "Snow On the Mountain" by Benjamin Moore (it's a little richer amd more "creamy"-- use it on my living room trim), and "Navajo White" on the house's exterior trim-- it's another creamy white that still reads "white" outside with all the sun hitting the house...
