It's autumn somewhere!!!

I stopped at Michael's today to buy some yarn and was surprised to see that it's autumn already! It can't come quick enough for me - my favorite season, even if it is imaginary here in the southwest.

it can't come quick enough for me! I love fall decor but today it's 97 degrees, no breeze & hot hot hot here in FL!

I went to the pool at 7:30 AM water temp 91-ugh!!! I'm praying for some cool weather maybe January😉

I hear ya. Autumn usually shows up here in December/January, but it's not a real autumn. Even so, I decorate Labor Day Weekend. It helps that I have an excellent imagination.

give me 20" of snow anyday...I miss those Jersey winters (although I hear many of my friends Snow blowers have cobwebs on them...no big ones lately!)

hobby lobby had fall and halloween decor like a month ago. hallmark has their christmas decor out too. stores are

trying to outdo one another i guess, and it just leaves some consumers shaking their heads in disbelief.

Looks like they have a nice selection. I may have to have a peak. I feel bad for you guys near 100. Makes me grumpy when it's that warm. It's around 80 here. Don't like that either, but I won't complain since it could be worse. 😀😀

High of 101 here today, no high lower than 98 for the next 7 days. Fall weather never happens here earlier than October.

I love Autumn, my absolute favorite time of year. I start decorating for fall at the very beginning of Sept. It is usually about 100 degrees when I decorate, but, who cares. Fall is coming. I can't wait. Happy Fall!!!

I went to Michael's the other night and they had a few aisles of fall decor, as well as Halloween displays in the center of the store. Fall is also my favorite season/time of year and I can't get enough of everything I'm seeing in the stores.

Now I'm waiting for TJ Maxx to get their stuff out. I was in there yesterday, but not a hint of fall to be found. They were still having their storewide clearance sale. I'm hoping we'll start seeing all things fall in another week or so.

I'm heading to Hobby Lobby today. Need some things and it is an excuse to peruse the Fall decor. I really should stay away from that store and Pier 1, too. Always costs me money!

I was able to get to Micheal's the other day, and it was such a wonderful surprise to see fall decor right out of the gate! I LOVE fall, and living in the northeast, as well as in the mountains, fall comes early here. We have one particular tree that is already shedding leaves, though I have no clue what it is. All of the others will start mid- August. Fall is so beautiful here, and in some areas as beautiful as any area in New England that folks travel to for their fall beauty fix. Love me some fall foliage!!!!!

This month proved to be a great time to purchase a wreath as well, as the summer ones were 70% off. I found a gorgeous, lush wreath with sunflowers, some other beautiful blue flowers, with a full base of various greens as background. I've never seen the color combination before and fell hard for that thing! LOL It wound up costing just over 26.00, regularly 89.99, and has adorned my mantle since I brought it home. I love sunflowers in the house from about July 4th, until nearer to October.

My friend is a retired interior decorator. She was widowed and so decided to sell her very old house and move into an apartment.She ended up buying in a building that was an elementary school converted to over 55 apts.Her fabulous apartment is partially the former library - when she moved in the old shelving was all still in there so she had her contractor leave much of it.She loves fall and fall colors so she said she had always wanted to use those colors to decorate a home. She has a dark brown sofa and chairs in the LR - the original dark oak wood floors, a rug that has a lot of fall color in it in the LR - Then she used touches of gold, orange, plum and olive green in the art , pillows and accessories.The walls and the curtains are ivory. Her dining room and kitchen are both in a light sage, bathroom is beige tile and she painted the walls a rust, and her bedroom is all in ivory with a gorgeous plum bedspread.

Every time I'm there I think how fabulously she has used the colors of the very prettiest season of the year.

@pinky ann Her previous homes were always her office too so they were decorator showplaces. This one is her warm & cozy sanctuary. It has her personality in it.

@house_cat It's my favorite season as well. No more decor for me, though. I am embarrassed to admit how many bins I have stored away. I went crazy last year. Let's just say that I love Christmas decor, and now my Autumn goodies are in heavy competition. Love it all !!
