Decorating with Food ~ Especially Apples

Do you ever decorate your home with food.....bowls of apples, peaches, oranges and such? I love to do this and I especially love apples. They last about three weeks and then I make them into something delicious like a cobbler; I never let them go to waste. I love the 'feeling' they give to a room.

I have done the Williamsburg look at Christmas time making wreaths and centerpieces with apples, lemons, lemon leaves, cranberries and pineapples.

Sometimes I keep bowls of fruits and vegetables out in decorative bowls on my counter or DR table. They don't last too long as I try to eat them ASSP.

Also I use high quality faux fruits that look real.

Yes, in the kitchen and dining room always.

Not only fresh fruit in bowls or baskets, but my home canned goods I dispaly for a short time after it is canned. It is so pretty to see a few jars of carrots or beets or green beans, with pretty lid covers on the jars, sitting on the counter.
