There are some amazing fish tanks out there.

Have you ever seen the show Tanked? They make custom aquarium designs all over the world. I can't imagine the expense involved in building and caring for the tank.

There is one in the waiting room of my allergist's office, and the kids are always mesmerized. I like looking at fish, but I have never had any. I'm sure my furry friends would love to have a built in tank!

I used to think aquariums were cool when I was a kid. Now when I see one now in a home, I think they're kind of tacky. I don't mind a grand one in a hotel or restaurant, but it just doesn't work for me in a residence.

I used to have a reef tank. It was only 55 gal. but was very pretty. I loved just sitting and watching the fish. I finally got tired of taking care of it and took it down. I returned the fish and coral to the fish store and sold the tank.

My husband and I wanted to try the old console tv fish tank but never did. I miss my aquariums but they were a lot of work to keep healthy.

I think fish belong in the ocean, not cooped up in a tank.

Had an octagonal tank years ago. I enjoyed it at the time, but it was a lot of work maintaining it.

I have seen the show Tanked and last summer they built an aquarium for a new restaurant in our area.

We watch Tanked occasionally. I think some of them look really tacky. LOL

Maybe in a den or an office, they'd be cool.

I'm another one who can get mesmerized by a fish tank; however, I was never very good at the maintenance of keeping up with a small one, so I couldn't even contemplate larger ones like in the OP. I do appreciate them and like to look, though. 😊

ETA: I think my kitty would love to have one around here! 😻

I definitely wouldn't have one under my bed like that. I would feel like I was sleeping in an MRI machine. Yikes!

Not for me...my neighbors son had a large one in his bedroom on the 2nd floor. It broke while they were not home ad damaged her wood floors on the 1st and 2nd level plus her walls. It was a nightmare.

My friends husband had two gigantic tanks in their living room for a lot of years. They had to have the floors reinforced because of the weight. Not for me. 🐟🐠🐡
