Bathroom Pictures

I spend a few hours just going through prints for my bathroom on art.com.

Here are the prints I ordered. I am going to put them in frames that look like driftwood. The color is a grey that looks like aged driftwood. I am going to buy a bag of sea shells at the Dollar Tree near me. I bought 2 bags of blue and 1 bag of the Dollar Tree iridescent glass gems about the size of marbles but they have a little flatter back. I may use a pale beige sand also. I saw some oval based glasses that are acrylic at a store near me that also had a slightly shaded light blue on the bottom. I did the aqua towels and a light beige rug in the bathroom. I am going to get a few small candles for the shelves in the bathtub just to accent the color. The walls are all white and the medicine cabinet and sink cabinet we have are a medium oak. I have been excited having a project to do. We put up crown molding with the corners you can buy to slide the molding behind. We can not do the wall corners with the molding and it came out really nice. Do you like the prints?

@MKR14I love your ideas. The bathroom can be a place of solace....a lavender scented Epsom salt bath, soft Himalayan salt lamp, music for ambiance and I'm unwinding from the day. If these prints bring peace and joy to your heart....go for it!

Thanks @phoenixbrd @MickD @Big Joanie. I will post a picture when I get it done. Our main bathroom is small so I did the white walls. It has been fun keeping my husband out so I can do most of this myself. It is relaxing for me to do this. I

coukdn't find a small curtain long enough for the window above the tub so I bought an aqua bath towel and made one myself. Fits perfect and all I did is cut it off and hem it to the length I needed. When the light comes in through it the bathroom has a pale aqua hue on the white tub.

Have you thought about all the moisture in the bathroom? Will they "warp" over time? There's really no way to seal them in framing.

I tend to leave the pics out of bathrooms and go for "solid" decor.

I wouldn't worry about moisture in the bathroom if you have a fan. I have original art in my bathrooms and it looks beautiful. My house is 11 years old and I have had no problem with moisture. I say go for what you love!!! Post when you're done. Can't wait to see the finished look. LM

@Mistreatedbycs I have had pictures in my bathroom for years and had no problem. The kids are grown and gone and just my husband and I so we aren't in the bathroom as long as the kids would have. Been. We also have a window over the tub that we open if needed. Thanks for the advice as it is a good idea that you suggested it. I love the prints and can't wait to get them

hung up in the bathroom. I am waiting to be sure what colors for the accents match nicely. @Lilysmom Thanks.

These prints look perfect with what your are describing as your plans and current colors and look in the bathroom. It will be so fun to have a new and bright look! Please post pictures when you are done!

The pictures are gorgeous. I just have a small print in the bathroom featuring a cartoon girl and a saying from an old issue of Reader's Digest that says, "The true length of a minute depends on which side of the bathroom door you're on." Those of us who live/lived in a one bathroom house with multiple others know the truth of that phrase all too well. If you're in the bathroom and someone's knocking you'll say you'll be out in a minute. To you it's just a minute, but to the person outside, dying to get in, that minute may seem like an hour.

Bet it will look great when it is completed. I live on the water and never had a problem with art or framed picture with moisture......however I received 2 salt lamps as gifts. The one I placed in the bathroom started to melt on the counter. The one in my living room also started to form a puddle of water and salt ring. They are not good for rooms with moisture or homes in coastal areas on salt water with humidity.

Here are a few photos of things I have been putting together for in the bathroom. I got the frames today for my prints as they should be here today. I have been tweaking them if I don't what I did. I got the small seashells at Walmart and the larger ones at the Dollar Tree. The votives on the top of the medicine cabinet shows the bathroom light through them. Pretty neat bonus.

They are also from the Dollar Tree.

Ooh, I love shells! Those are some really nice shells. Did you buy them in a bundle, or are they shells you've picked up

In my master bath I have pics of a variety of different fish swimming. I also have some seahorse action. Love all those creatures of the sea.
