When you live seaside and have family visiting often (especially with kids) melamine is a must for outdoor dining.

I have 3 sets that I use all summer mostly on the weekends and when my family stays during the week.

I love this Seaside Table Setting...I can't wait till we start eating out on the deck. Love Pier 1.

Marine motifs are not popular in New Mexico but I do love the aquas and corals. I think this one is too busy.

I just dont like the beach theme......wasnt even a fan of the Beach Blanket Bingo movies.....LOL

Beach theme doesn't work for me, but I love Pier 1 melamine. Last year I bought two place settings of six and have used them ever since. Recently, I received a new booklet in the mail and I really liked a lot of things. Had to put it in the recycling.

Now this is fun.

The one place I will go 'off the rails' and 'outside the box' is with tablescapes for seasons, holidays or events.

In my opinion, they can be fun and don't have to 'match' my usual tastes when entertaining or creating an event.

Love this - all of it! These are definitely my colors in the summer. But then again I use a lot of red, white, and blue too!

Love the beach theme! But not the ocean theme. My cottage is on a lake in Michigan so decorating beachy is what I do, but I can't do lobsters, crabs and oceany items. Cute though!

This is sooo pretty! I love that the dishes are melamine so they are not breakable. Although I did manage to break a small melamine dish that my mom had. Whoops!

I love turtles and where I live, the turtles lay their eggs on the beach. I'm going to have to look for those turtle plates.

I saw a fabulous ad on tv just last night. Did not know it was Pier 1 until they said it. I love Pier 1, such just cool beautiful things.

Too busy for my taste - too many prints. I do live near the water and would like a set of beach themed dishes if I had somewhere to store them.Instead I use my simple white Corian dishes and beach themed tableclothes and napkins to set a beachy table outside. The colors in the picture are very nice.

Darn it @lolakimono- look what you've done, LOL. I've had a thing for sea horses since I was a little girl. I went on Pier One's site and took a look at all this.

The SECOND our washing machine finishes its cycle, I told my my husband we're heading to our local Pier One and buying the melamine salad plates. They are adorable. And I think maybe a tray.
