I purchased 2 of these benches, in the muted tomato red shade, a while back.

I wanted to buy a few more, but I see QVC only has the ivory available. I LOVE this bench! It looks beautiful, holds up perfectly, and it holds a lot of stuff! The red color is gorgeous. It's muted, yet still gives a punch of color. I cannot believe that QVC is discontinuing this product.

Does anyone know who makes this bench, and where else I can find it?
I googled it, and found similar ones, but they are not exactly the same.

I know how wonderful these are to have in your home. I have a couple of the small ones. I bought mine originally on line at JCP. Maybe they still sell them.

I also bought some small ones from QVC, but they were a canvas like material. Gorgeous, though! And the lid was actually also a tray on the inside. They were a bit pricier, but I think QVC had them on a special. I do not see those either anymore on QVC. wow...I wonder why? They are so great, esp when you need extra storage space, yet want something that looks beautiful. And so functional too as extra seating when entertaining, or as an ottoman, or coffee table, etc.

I hope JCpenney still has these!

I bought two of the dark brown benches when they were the TSV. They are great. Look nice and hold a lot. Hope they will be coming back since they are not on clearance. Would like to get a couple more for storage if they come back.

Well, I am glad you both also liked this product! Maybe others will post too, and QVC mods can read these posts aand pass it on to the powers that be.

I just do not understand why QVC would get rid of a product that sells so well and has such GREAT reviews, yet they keep other "meh" products around. I also wish that QVC would list the manufacturer of these products. There is no mention of it on the product page. I am guessing that they are getting rid of this item since only one color is now listed, and there is no Wishlist on the item.

I have 2 of the benches also. After I got mine I noticed that they now have one that is the same size only it has a divider in the middle. I like mine without better, but you may not care. The brand name is FHE and the # is V34641 and it is available in red as well as other colors. HTH

After watching the video presentation, I see that the divider can be added or not. So not a problem if you need to pack away a blanket or quilt, for example. I love these!

I find this particular storage bench on the very plain side. All of my local furniture stores have much nicer looking ones for a very nominal price.

I love these storage benches & boxes too, I have a few boxes.

Thanks! I did see that one, but unless the divide is removable, I do not want it. I use those benches to sometimes store long things, so I like that width. I wonder if FHE has their own website? Maybe they still sell the other model. I will google it.

I have probably 8 of these and at least that many of the smaller square ottomans (these are technically called benches if they are the longer ones).

I use them as ottomans in the family room, and I use the smaller ones in the bedrooms to store magazines or off season clothing.

I have several of Valerie Parr Hill's different versions of these, and while hers are more substantial, they are too expensive for what they are, in my opinion.

The brand that the OP has linked is by FHE. I like the 'plain' look of them as they mix in well and don't compete with other decor. I even use these inside closets to keep certain things organized. The best part is that if you have times you don't need them, they fold flat for storage, and that saves a lot of room. Mine are never empty, but if I ever get to the point that they might be empty part of the time, I would have nowhere to put them if they didn't fold down.

The only drawback I have seen with these is that they smell inside, and it never goes away. I have to be careful what fabric I put inside, because it comes out smelling like the inside of the ottoman. I haven't tried laying some dryer sheets inside to try and get rid of the smell, but it is a 'new object, chemical type smell.

Q has carried these for quite a while, and they have sold out more than once. They very well may be bringing them back, as they are rather popular. A lot of their storage type things like this come back in full stock more in January as people are doing the new year organizing thing, but who knows, it could happen anytime.

As my luck goes, these will be back in new styles, colors or fabrics and I'll love them and wish I could fit more in my house!

Yup! Everything you just said about them is exactly why I love these. I love the clean lines, as they do not compete with our other furnishings, yet they look so much more expensive than they are.

Smell?

I have 2 benches, and 2 of the smaller ones. The smaller ones are Valerie's. I like that they have the tray top. None of mine have a chemical smell. Do all of yours? Have you tried just airing them out, or wiping the inside with a damp towel and a gentle cleanser?

I hope the newer ones do not smell....

I think I bought my FHE ones in 2016 (most of them anyway). and they all 'smell'. I didn't really notice or think about it until I had them filled, so I didn't take the time to empty them and put them outside in the sun for a day, which migh have helped. I mostly only notice it when fabric is stored inside.

We keep some throws in ours in the family room, and the throws carry the smell when I first take them out.

Everyone has different sensitivities to odors, but this is kind of like a 'new' smell that just never goes away. It isn't horribly offensive to me, but I know many people might be bothered by it.

I bought one of the cube ones at TJ Maxx a few years ago for our camper. Inside it had another, slightly smaller one so the small one is beside the sofa and serves as a side table to set down a drink etc and the larger one is between our two recliner chairs with the top flipped to the table side and serves as our side table there. Certainly for in a camper where there isn't much space for tables these cubes are a perfect solution. Plus you get the bonus of storage inside.
