Percale sheets

I do not care for microfiber type sheets or the sateen no matter how high the threat count. So I decided to try percale sheets. The other channel has them available and some nice colors and great price. Any thoughts?

I love percale, and won't use anything else. I like crisp sheets, and those super soft materials don't do it for me.🌺

I buy 100% cotton percale cotton sheets when I can find them. They are crisp and not slippery or shiny and they breath.

i have some sheets that are cotton/poly percale. They feel okay texture wise, but I am a cotton girl. 100% Cotton percale gets wrinkled and are better if dried on a line. That is why many people prefer the cotton/ poly combo, they are less wrinkled.

Check to see if there is a wrinkle free or no iron disclaimer before you buy.

I spent a LOT of $ on a set high end sheets to find out they were not wrinkle free.

OMG, I am Not Alone?? Hate Microfiber and Sateen!! I also like a crisp sheet.I was buying a Cotton/Poly blend just bought a new set, same store and brand BUT they are so THIN. just when you find something you like It Changes!! Grrr

Those are exactly the type of sheets that I love. Truly high end cotton percale wrinkles. They are the best!

I get it-some say they don't like the finish/feel of sheets when the wrinkle free process has been applied.

I have been using percale sheets from LLBean for a few years now. They get wrinkled, but I put them on the bed right out of the dryer and by the next morning they are no longer wrinkles except around the edges. I just ignore that.

I love the cotton poly percale sheets. I like the texture and decreased wrinkles. I am going to try Penney's sheets before they go out of business

Thank you all for the replays. I went ahead and ordered the ones from the other channel and it said 100% percale I checked. They were offering a 20% off coupon. The color I wanted was not available in queen so I just got white to try them. I will update you once I try them. I may wait and let you know how wrinkled they become.

A while ago and I believe in the community forum, I don't recall her screen name either said she had ten sets of cotton sheets and when she got to the last set she took them to the dry cleaners! Depending on what area you are from that might be expensive.

Garnet hill web site is one she recommended.

@CLEM, et al, I love percale also. LLBEan is pretty good. They do get wrinkly. I care less about the wrinkles and more about the feel. Line dried is pure heaven when climate allows.

I tried the Threshold sheets from Target that were recommended here but they are not the kind of percale I look for. Someone here called them plastic like and I agree. I never put those on a guest bed.

When I find the good percale I jump for joy! LM

PS! I REALLY like LLBean flannel. They just get softer and softer. I use the flat flannel sheet with a cotton mattress sheet in winter and I am one happy girl. LM

Another vote here for crisp cotton percale. Can't stand any of the droopy shiny slinky type. They need to be cool and crisp.(:

Dry cleaners? That is overkill and adds toxic chemicals. I just wash and line dry if I can. If I have to use the dryer I remove immediately while still warm. I use my hands to smooth on the bed. I do iron the pillow cases, but never the sheets. Most of the wrinkles just smooth out,

I don't like microfiber sheets. Only use 100% cotton sheets that are soft. I haven't tried percale and now that I read this thread about how great it is I will be looking to buy another set.

IMO, the best sheets are 100% cotton percale with a low thread count. I've learned my lesson with microfiber and cotton blends.
