Need a new mattress. Any reccomendations?

I currently have a king size Tempurpedic. It is about 8 years old and truth be told, I always thought I wanted one but I havent been that impressed with it. I know- and yet I have kept it for 8 years. sigh. Anyway, I am looking at the Serta Hybrid -H209247. I would appreciate any imput, reccomendations, advice etc. Thank!

We have a king size Beautyrest pillow top, around $1,000 and it's the best mattress we've ever had. Serta was our previous brand.

I have H209222. It's an upgrade from a standard Serta but a step below the iSerta. It's an similiar, but a little better than, the mattress spec'ed for Hilton Garden Inns. I've been really happy with it.

I work in the hotel industry. When I told our procurement manager what I bought and how much I paid, he was impressed. The QVC price with the shipping included was less than I could have bought a slightly downgraded model from Serta with my employee rate.

we've had select comfort for 20 years. I like firm and husband doesn't so it's great!! You can see the stress points at the store to see where you sleep best. Highly recommended!!

I have a SleepNumber bed and love it ! My second favorite mattress is a Serta. It's years old but it still is in great shape. I use it on the guest bed.

I have an Icomfort. It is pretty comfortable--but it is a hybrid memory foam and traditional box spring.

We purchased the Tempurpedic Cloud Lux a year ago to replace our 10 yr old Tempurpedic. I was planning to have back surgery, but it was cancelled. What a difference in the new and old. They have so many new models. Ours is much softer and more comfortable -- the old one was hard.

We have a Select Comfort for over 13 years. Still very satisfied. We went through a lot of mattresses....xfirm, firm, med, water tubes, etc etc... before this "investment mattress".

Good purchase for us. We love being able to select the firmness for each of our own preferences which sometimes changes weekly.

I bought a bed from the Helix Co in New York and I bought it online. It is custom made for me. I got the full sized and paid $800 for it; free shipping and 100 days to sleep on it or they would come get it and refund ALL my $$. My budget would not allow anymore than $1000 and the mattresses I thought would be good, were all $1500 and up even for the full sized. Go to their web site to check it out, helixsleep.com

Beautyrest is considered one of the most comfortable standard mattresses.

We've had a Sleep Number for years and LOVE it!

@wagirl So tell us how you like your mattress, your experience with its shipping, unpacking etc. I'm considering this brand, also in the full size and have done their survey. Did you put it on a box springs?

About 4 yrs. ago or so, DH and I bought a name brand mattress (Stearns & Foster) and paid a pretty penny for it - over $2,000 on sale for a queen. We were immediately unhappy with it. We should have returned it, but we didn't. We ended up buying a thick topper from Costco and that helped. DH and I have been doing a bit more traveling over the past couple of years and always have a king size bed at the hotels. It spoiled us. Last summer we decided we'd do a bedroom makeover and get a new king mattress. The project ensued around May/June and our bed was here the end of June. To back up a little, I had done a lot of research online before making my decision and we also went to an actual store to lay down on a few mattresses. We decided that we wanted a hybrid (combination of coils and memory foam). After all the research and checking reviews, we ended up ordering a Classic Brands Gramercy 14" Cool Gel Memory Foam & Innerspring Mattress from Wayfair. At the time, the cost for the king was just under $500. Yes, you read that right. And shipping was free. The mattress arrived compressed and rolled up. It was heavy and awkward to get it to our room - 2 people are needed. After opening it up, the mattress grew before our eyes. They want you to wait 24-48 hrs. for complete expansion before sleeping on it. We've been sleeping on it every night since and I can honestly say it's one of the absolute best purchases we've ever made. It's supportive, but not hard. The top is soft enough to be comfortable, but your body doesn't sink way down in it. We never feel the other person move around. I actually look forward to getting into bed at night and don't want to get out in the morning. I have an odd sleep schedule, but it's better with this new mattress. When we're ready to redo other bedrooms, I already know we'll get this same mattress for the other beds. FYI - this is a mattress only. It can be used over a traditional box spring on a traditional frame, or by itself placed on a metal platform type foundation. We bought a heavy duty Smart Base and love the arrangement. With the base, there's all kinds of storage space underneath while the mattress sits at the perfect height.

I have been looking but did not want to pay 1500 plus dollars on a full size mattress. I checked 'sleeplikethedead' site and ended up ruling out Caspar, Bed in a Box, Ghostbed, Vinsus and finally Helix. I liked the Tuft and Needle because it was neither memory foam (too hot) or latex. A full size is 500. I was a bit nervous because most of the reviews said it was too firm. I am lucky that they have a store here. I figured even if it was too firm, I could put a topper on it. Well, I went, they were so nice and I bought it. Seems they no longer make the super firm mattress. No sales pressure, in fact they leave you alone in a small room. My first thought was that it would be a great place for a nap. I will receive my new bed in 2 days..... soft enough to sink but firm enough for support. I am so thrilled.

Two years ago, I bought a 100% natural latex matress in medium, a 3" natural latex topper in soft, and a thick, fluffy wool mattress pad for the body temperature regulation. For the first time in years, I sleep very well and wake up with no aches and pains.
