best mashed sweet potatoes with maple syrup, butter, tequilla and lime juice

i had 2 sweet potatoes and peeled, cubed and boiled them.

then mashed with hand masher and added 1 teaspoon each of tequila, key west real lime juice, Vermont maple syrup, plenty sweet butter, and salt & pepper.

Delicious with my left over smoked sliced roast pork, and had this for a late lunch, and will finish the rest tonight for dinner........just a little sweet potatoes are left and a few more remaining slices of the smoked roast pork.

OH YUM! I have everything you used, Adore....well, except the sweet pots and tequilla! Both easily solved! There is a liquor store right next to my Wegman's!

Can't wait to try this...thanks mtc, for the heads up, so I didn't miss this again!

So glad my sweet potatoes with tequilla recipe was found.

My humble thanks, and many thanks for locating it, and posting it.

It is really delicious, very sinple and so easy to prepare, and goes really well with bbq foods and everything else.

Adds a real zing when you need one, and I really love any Tequilla and lime combination in foods.........makes me feel like I am in Mexico, Puerto Rico, or Spain again.

Enjoy my friends and you can add as mmuch Tequilla as you wish, just stay home and don't use anything which requires extreme care and thought........and by all means do not drive if you really indulge.

This is a delicious favorite recipe, and I hope everyone who tries it loves it too.

If you wish a substitute for Vermont maple syrup, but of course the taste will change, you can use another brand, or just use honey.

I promised you a dessert upon awakening today mtc, so unfortunately better late than never, especially since we had a lot of errands to run today.

Here is the perfect easy Greek dessert recipe for you my friend, and I will also post it.

I also just made it and it is so easy to make, with items usually found in the kitchen so no worries, and no fuss.....but "oh it is so good, and I hope you try it too.

Made these best mashed sweet potatoes with maple syrup, butter, tequilla and lime juice again tonight with Lemon chicken cutlets, and both were delicious.
