Golden Spatula Awards - ITKWD Today

I am skipping back & forth between David & the Pre-Oscar E! shows - only saw the first winner of the infamous Golden Spatula Awards (Brookyn Naval Yard Desination) - who has won the others aired so far?

I don't like it when they stop in the middle of a cooking and kitchen gadget show and start showing apple computers. electronics, vacumns, etc. I'm sitting down enjoying David and the cookbooks I really don't give a rip about those other products. They have their own time slots and that's great for those people who want to watch and buy at that time. Leave the cooking shows to the folks who are just interested in tuning in and watching what the show guide says will be on.

The husband and wife team with last name 'Day' won one of the awards. They write those cookbooks called 'Back in the day Bakery"" cookbooks.

Chef Tony won the big lifetime achievement award. He was tearing up, he seemed genuinely thrilled!

Bless him ! He is such a kind and generous human being. Everybody loves Chef Tony. I've got some of his products and all are great. I teared up too, when I saw how touched he was and how David, being the kind man, he is, congratulated him on his win. We need more people like the both of them in the world.

Not everybody loves "Chef" Tony. He is not a chef -- he just plays one on television. He is a salesman who specializing in hawking kitchen wares. He may be a nice man, but I cannot get past the pretense of being a chef.

The behind the scene team for the cooking show won one. Also the choir that David was a member of in his college days won. They had a clip of them singing on this past Xmas show.

I saw "Chef" Tony receive his award as well, and was very touched by his reaction. He is a sweet man who is always gracious and kind. Yes, he's hawking kitchen wares, but this is a shopping channel. He's always thorough and demonstrates the items very well. I always enjoy watching him!

I don't care if he is a "chef" or not- I find him genuine, humble and kind- He does a fine job and his products perform as the are advertised- So what if he is a salesman?! I am salesman too, that doesn't make me a second class citizen, or disingenuous, or a liar...

It is so easy for some people to sit back in their living room chairs and criticize everyone and everything they see on their television screen- things are not so literal or as black and white in the real world...Its a SHOPPING channel! What do you expect to see, if not salespeople???!

Obviously no one is going to like every product or every sales rep or every host- Move on then! Its not Yelp here, were are not paid critics- It isn't hurting any viewers, physically or emotionally...why can't we all just enjoy the ride, instead of complaining all the time of how bumpy it is...?
