I have it....and I love it. I've done casseroles in it as well as meatloaf. Pot roast. Roast chicken pieces with vegetables. I think it cooks a little quicker than a round crock pot, so I think you need to keep a closer eye on it. For a recipe that might take 8-10 hours in a round crock pot, it might be ready closer to 6-7 hours. Other than that, it's a good crock pot. Cleans up very well.

Oh, and you could put the casserole insert into the oven, too, if you need another 9 x 13 casserole. I did that when I was using my Fiesta 9 x 13 pans for other recipes for a big family dinner.

You need to watch the liquid content for your regular casserole recipes if you want to try them in this crock pot.

Overall, I am pleased. I've used mine quite a bit. A little trial and error and you'll be fine.

Target has this on sale this week. It is a 9x13 crock pot. I love my crock pots and am wondering if any of you have had success with this model. TIA

Wow - who knew they made such a thing! Guess I need to get out more. I will be interested in the responses you get as sometimes I think the things I make in a crock pot would be better off in a thinner layer.

I was so excited about this. Bought one before Thanksgiving, didn't use it and took it back! It was so big I didn't have rom for it, I couldn't think when to use it (I have two ovens), so I really had no use for it. I also thought the oven would always do a better job on a casserole than this. I thought I would use it for a warmer, but just don't have room to store something for that.

Lack of storage keeps me from buying this as I immediately wanted one, but I do think my oven will be fine for any and all my casseroles.

Thank you for replying. I have the storage space. It is only 3.5 quarts (my chili crock pot is 6 qt). It may be fun to try, and it is not expensive.
