Who won the Worst Cook in America Contest last night on FN, I missed it?? Now I know....

I was flipping the channel between FN and SNL Show and missed the winner. Help me out

I look on Wiki and found out. Kristen won and Genique from Fayetteville, NC came in second.

I didn't see it either, but I could have predicted the outcome. I know the show is staged, but I still find it compelling to watch. The contestants truly seem proud of themselves.

From the very first show, I felt it would come down to Kristen and Genique in the finals. I was impressed that ditzy Kristen improved on her time management issues, and that Genique improved tremendously with overall kitchen skills to cook the types of dishes they prepared for the judges. I was rooting for Genique all along, and was disappointed she did not win the money, but as soon as the one judge said he had a piece of shell in his soup, I figured she was done for.

I really didn't watch this season's show but watched quite a bit of the last season with the winner who had the reallllyyyyyy long nails? Does anyone remember her? I loved watching that and I really felt that her success and struggle to get better was sincere. Of course, it's TV, and I'm sure they choose their contestants carefully for their personalities and ability to be on camera. But I loved watching her progression.

My younger son and I have been watching the Kids' Baking Competition on Monday nights. We love it. These kids are amazing. I was blown away by their food fakes last week. Amazed at the bagel and faux lox/salmon made out of sweet stuff!

Can't say enough about the Food Network and how great it is for family watching. I've always loved food shows, since I was a little kid and watched Julia and other PBS chefs. But now I can watch all this other great stuff with my kids and it's totally family friendly.

I just watched the finale. Glad for Kristen and Anne.

There were definitely some characters this season (I've watched them all). That one blonde woman with the high-pitched squeaky weirdness was probably the only one I was glad to see go. She made my ears bleed and my brain explode. hehe - I have sensory issues, obviously, so anything that is high-pitched, loud, or obnoxious really gets to me.

The one really strange man on Anne's team was definitely out of the box but he seemed sweet.

Sarah, the blonde who said and did funny things, was a lot of fun to watch. She made it to the final four. I was hoping she'd make it to the finals, but I wasn't suprised when she didn't.

I had similar feelings. I didn't really care who won, I liked them both. Staged or not, it's an enjoyable diversion.
