topic Greek yogurt or regular yogurt?? in Kitchen

I'm wondering -- I am lactose intolerant and have no problem with small amounts (6-8 oz or less) of yogurt. I tried the Greek yogurt everyone's talking about and had that "milk tummy" symptoms - those of you with lactose intolerance will know what I mean.

Was it just because it was a new to me food, or can people with lactose intolerance not have it???? My dr. said I can have small amounts of yogurt and some hard cheese as they typically don't bother many with LA - but this yogurt did.....

Since I like yogurt, I do indulge and never a problem to date. Anyone know? I don't see my dr. for awhile and hate to make an appt. just to ask this, as it's a product I could avoid, I'm just curious?

thanks gang!
