      <description>&lt;P&gt;Very disappointed with QVC.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;I ordered the Instant Counter Tempered Glass Burner Cover about a week ago (K40793). The shipping and handling was $8.22, today the price for the item is the same as I paid, but the shipping is now $5.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Spoke to Customer Service and they will not refund the difference, unlike most merchant that would give a credit if there is any price drop in less than 30 days. Customer Service at it's worse!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Lots of merchants say in their ads that new prices apply only to new sales.  Just a week ago, people were here complaining Amazon refused to give people who had just paid $99 for Prime a reduction to $72 on the sale day.  Macys frequently included a line in their sale brochures that no adjustments on previous sales will be made.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;I think QVC should just stick to their guns.  This is a new policy and they shouldn't go back even an hour!&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt;</description>

The sale for Amazon Prime was stated that it was one day only on all of the promotion materials, so no one should have expected a refund after the one day sale. &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Not the same situation with those of us that ordered  this item before the drop in shipping prices.  I agree that some companies state that they will not refund lower shipping costs, but that has not been the policy of QVC, nor has QVC ever stated that policy anywhere. Just my opinion. QVC had been raising the prices of the items in the cases where the shipping is now reduced.  In the case of this item, they did not raise the price, but they did reduce the shipping which in my humble opinion is not the way to treat customers.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>I posted this on a different thread. I ordered a necklace from HSN a couple of years ago, and paid about $6.00 in shipping and handling. The following week this item was offered with free shipping. I did call and ask about it, but was told No, they would not adjust, because it was shipping and handling, and not the price of the item. Fair enough.</description>

Some people just expect way too much.  You pay the rates that were in effect (and that you knew were in effect) when you ordered.       <description>&lt;P&gt;What Bette mentioned was part of the equation I mentioned in another of these threads - sometimes prices go up, well LOTS of times, but I don't see people clamoring to be charged MORE when that happens.  &lt;SPAN style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;It goes both ways&lt;/SPAN&gt;.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;I just think that some folks don't see (or care about) the big picture.   Who here hasn't purchased something and then seen the price go down or the terms change?  It happens all the time.  But if you purchase before the terms/prices change, then your transaction is subject to the terms at the time you made it. &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;I'd be willing to bet that the same folks who saw a price go up, on an item they recently purchased, don't contact the retailer to ask them to charge them more.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Why would anyone expect a NEW policy to be retroactive?&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;If someone liked something well enough and wanted it badly enough to pay the original shipping, is the product now not as attractive since a higher shipping was paid?  I doubt it.  It was worth it to pay the listed shipping so just live with it and be happy that future similar  purchases will cost you less in shipping.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The new policy is not retroactive, QVC made that quite clear. QVC is NOT "most" retailers. So, why would you call CS with a foolish question? And then blame them for doing their jobs....lol Unbelievable....lol They reduced shipping charges, significantly. Why can't everyone just appreciate that?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Why would you think they are going to reimburse you $3.22..retroactive?&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;A lot of time and energy and upset in a $3.22 difference..  If they increased the item's price would you be looking to pay the HIGHER price? Of course not.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Seriously it is just a bit over three bucks!&lt;/P&gt;</description>
