In my part of the country they are considered an ice cream drink. Brandy, Crème de Cacao & vanilla ice cream. When my DH orders a Grasshopper, I'll often get a Brandy Alexander for my after dinner drink.

My mom rarely drank alcohol, so when she did it was always something sweet and fussy like this. When I got my first dog as a child, I named him Brandy Alexander

Just make it easy with a white Russian: 3 oz vodka, 1 oz kahlua and heavy cream in an old fashioned glass. Add the vodka and kahlua in an old fashioned glass filled with ice. top wiht splash heavy cream and stir. I use whipping cream (not whipped cream) or half-half.
