Polish Stoneware

I don't know if I'm behind the times (I hardly ever watch any of the shopping networks anymore) but I just saw that Polish Stoneware is now on ShopHQ. I love Polish Stoneware - have lots of items and was so disappointed when QVC stopped selling it. I know they try to make Temptations to be their version of Polish Stoneware, but it doesn't even compare. Temptations is horrible quality and can't come close to the beauty and quality of Polish Stoneware. Several of the items are in patterns I have so I'm placing my order and smiling big time!

Did you buy your Polish Stoneware from QVC? Shop HQ doesn't sell from the same factory that QVC did.

I took a look at the ShopHQ website and looked at their Polish Stoneware. I thought it was beautiful. Prices are comparable to the brand that QVC used to sell. I have a few items I purchased from QVC and just love them, but I would not hesitate to purchase from Shop HQ.

That's not the same brand, unless it's somewhere on that site that I'm not seeing it. Ceramica Artystyczna is the brand that QVC sold. You can find it on www.polishstoneware.com. That's Gloria's website, and she is who used to bring it to QVC.

While living in Germany for 13 years while my husband was in the Army the big thing was to go to the Polish Stoneware Factory and buy the stoneware. Myself and other spouses made monthly trips and were able to really get some great pieces at a fraction of the cost. I am so glad that I purchased these items even though at the time I had no idea how popular they were. One of my friends told me about the stoneware and since I loved it I was able to get a nice collection of different pcs. I think there was more than one factory, but I know we went to the main one.

It is shocking to see the prices of this stoneware now.

Hi Carol! How are you doing? Still collecting? I have slowed down quite a bit although I bought several pieces last year - I needed some more loaf pans. And I'm always looking for new shapes.

Are you kidding! I bake casseroles, meats, breads, pies. I would never pay that much just for looks. I have a cupboard full of baking dishes, also dinnerware. Oven, freezer, dishwasher. Durable and beautiful! And easy to clean.

I'm not collecting anymore, but I still love it. I've got all I need. I use my baking pieces all the time. Anytime I bring one somewhere I get compliments on it. I miss seeing it on QVC.

Absolutely you can bake in it. It's wonderful for baking and extremely easy to clean.

The Polish Stoneware on Shop is beautiful, I may order a few smaller pieces. It appears from the presentations they are actually hand-painted, and - even better - they aren't known to break.

I bought the 32 oz. tea pot today, from what I could see the quality of this Polish stoneware is comparable to the stoneware the Q offered. Temptations is junk compared to Polish stoneware, I can't believe people still buy it.

They're painted with sponges. It's really very intricate and takes a lot of skill. Gloria used to bring a video showing the artists at the CA factory doing the painting.

I'm pretty sure the stoneware being sold on SHOPHQ is legitimate. There has been some rip-off sites trying to sell items as Polish Stoneware. The company always puts a code on the bottom of the stoneware to show that it came from Poland and the artist always sign the pottery.
