You can adapt many of your favorites to pressure cooker cooking, and there are hundreds of recipes online. You can often access other manufacturers' recipe books online too. No need to buy a special cookbook....I did and have never used it.

Electric Pressure Cooker cookbook?

Received an electric pressure cooker from my boss for Christmas. Did come with a few recipes, but looking for a cookbook to use. Have looked at Barnes and Noble for one but can't decide which one would be the best. Just want a book with down to earth recipes not recipes that are fancy.

Any suggestions of a good one would be most appreciated. TIA!

I just got an Instant Pot (after rave reviews from a friend) and also bought Hip Pressure Cooking by Laura Pazzaglia from Amazon---also great reviews!!! I can't recommend either yet because I just got them, but you might take a look on Amazon. Great Food Fast by Bob Warden also sounds good and has excellent reviews on Amazon.

Hope that helps a teeny bit!!!! LOL

KK

If you do Facebook, there's a closed group called, "Instapot users group" that has tons of ideas for not only the Instant Pot, but for all electric based pressure cookers. It has over 3,000 members, so the feed is quite active. Lots & lots of recipes, etc.

I agree with My Thoughts about Meredith Laurence's book, and I also like Bob Worden's first one. My fave is the new one from America's Test Kitchen. Don't know if it's on the Q, but you can get it from Amazon, BN, and the ATK website. Pressure cookers are great once you get used to using them--enjoy!

Laura's Hip Pressure Cooking is notable for its recipes as well as its in depth explanations of the how and why of pressure cooking. Great Food Fast is my favorite Bob Warden cookbook. These two are my most used pressure cooking cookbooks.
